Edo Tensei is marked A Forbidden Technique by Tobirmaru. Why would he awaken the dead for his own personal gain. It would had to be important as Edo Tensei takes a living sacrfice. Also, why would Hashirama want to live forever.

Edo Tensei is the more fairy tale side of the Narutoverse, it is meant to be a jutsu that places fear in people seeing the dead rise. lol Really if Hashi was umlimited chakra and unkillable there would be no story him with his control of the bijuus would be insane
