Why did Tobi need Kabuto at all?

Tobi now has the rinnegan, and as we've seen with Pain, people with the rinnegan can revive the dead on their own. Why would Tobi choose not to revive people and leave them under Kabuto's control?

Well when Nagato revived the leaf it killed him. Now that could be because of his lack of chakra from his fight with Naruto, or it could be cause he saved a whole village but it is also possible that reviving of someone kills the person doing the reviving. Much like the reaper death seal takes the host with it.

He wasn't gonna win with zetsus alone was he? Rinne tensei probably cannot work after a period of time and he probably hasn't had that much experience with the rinnegan seeing as they are not his eyes, they are Madara's

Extra fighting force is never bad, I mean the white zetsu are just as strong as fodder ninja, without the edos the akatsuki army loses a big amount of strenght.

Edit: I mean with this: Kabuto already revived those so Tobi had to revive other ninjas but they wouldnt have been this strong

1. Because Kabuto allready ahd there soul's bound with edo tensei he cant just revive them with rinnegan if they are already here.

2.Tobi wouldn't have control over the body's he brought back They would just be strolling round doing what they want to do.

3. Edo tensei is better then having them just alive because it provides regeneration + unlimited chakra.

I doubt Tobi ever really needed Kabuto. It was more of an accessory of power. Tobi still has Sharingan and rinnegan plus the tailed beast chakra. Since the jinchuriki´s he used where edo. I still question how since they were edo, they still had sharingan and rinnegan. Tobi declared war with only the beast and Zetsu at the time so I´m pretty sure he has some plan. Kisame was alive back then too but the intel recon mission he was on was a suicide mission to begin with.

I don't think so because what would be the point of Madara giving Nagato the Rinnegan, he did iht so that Nagato would be able to revive him, or at least that is what he had said in a previous chapter. And if you were right then Nagato would have had to be the one to kill Madara, which i highly doubt and am almost positive that he didn't.

I think Tobi definitely would have changed his strategy if he did not have Kabuto and the EDO's. He most likely would have used the zetsu's as nothing more than a diversion while he tried to capture Bee and Naruto. Knowing that once they were captured then it is game over for everyone else.

I don't think so because if that were true how could Madara have ever expected to be revived by Nagato when Nagato never took his soul with the human path? && iht wans't until much later in his life that Nagato created all of the seperate paths to be controlled by a seperate body. By then Madara had already died.

Well Edo had to be sealed. they couldnt be killed by conventional means
