So itachi was just a failure...?

First things first there is a question mark so I'm just wondering what you think.
1. I don't think I need to say much here, he wanted Sasuke to kill him and return to Konoha as a hero. Didn't work.
2. He never wanted anyone to find out the truth about the Uchiha. Didn't work.
3. He tried to save people by getting rid of Madara. Didn't work.

So what do you think? :ice:

EDIT: Some people take this so seriously. The only thing that really matters is the message you get from the series. Sure, I'm not a great fan of Itachi but you fanboys need to stop getting worked up... especially the guy who made a whole new thread in retaliation. You know who you are

Yeah pretty much he stop edo tensei but forgot to stop the real problem edo madara so yeah fail..

Most of them were already sealed. He didn't manage to stop the main threat, Madara. I wouldn't call it a success.

Itachi accounted for mostly everything and did the best he could to protect his brother from death. He did the best he could. However his plans did not go as quite as he hoped. He still manage to save hundreds if not thousands of life's in the process.

I don' think itachi ever once really mentioned his goal was stopping madara..

he said his goal was stopping EDO TENSEI, which he did..
He actually said he would leave madara to naruto..

No he did not fail, he saved the shinobi world twice. Stopped edo, gave Naruto Shisui's eyes, and even made the storyline better.
