Shut up kid, your both right in some aspects.
The drawbacks are only there temporarily, my brother has been smoking since he was 14 years old, hes 22 now and none of those things have happened to him since he was 16 so the adverse affects dissipate with enough time.
As for the good things as long as your smart when you use you'll be fine and the good affects will and can be very beneficial.

It’s main ingredient is THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), a mind-altering chemical. Marijuana produced today has a level of THC that is up to 25 times higher than the type sold in the 1960s. And depending on how it is “cut”, it can contain hundreds of other harmful chemicals, many of which are carcinogenic (cancer-causing).
Biologically, marijuana affects the brain, heart, lungs, sexual organs, and depresses the immune system. The effects on the brain include distortion of the senses, confused judgment, and decreased motor skills. Operating machinery and motor vehicles becomes dangerous. Effects on the heart include rapid heart rate and high blood pressure. Respiratory problems include pharyngitis, laryngitis, and bronchitis. In pre-teens, marijuana use can retard physical growth and slow down development. High dose marijuana use can cause decreased fertility, breast enlargement in males, and breast milk production.

As a general rule I don't often like people who smoke. Not because they smoke, but because of their personalities.
Reading the posts of the pro-weed posters, alot of them seem to be acting like dickheads, like if you don't think marijuana should be legalized then you are an awful person, even though they are the ones doing drugs.
I've yet to meet a pot-head who could actually sit down and listen to arguments about why weed should not be legalized, or how it is bad for you.
I think Daniel Tosh said it best, "I want weed to be legalized, just so pot-heads would have nothing to talk about"

It takes the stress off and I feel better. I smoke and drink alot. Actually I'd say I'm only sober maybe 45 percent of the time. I don't do it to be cool or fit in. I just do it because I actually like it.

This was a terrible thread to make. Seeing as swearing and sexual references are discouraged to accommodate to younger audiences, discussing drugs really should be avoided too.
This debate has been going on for so long and doesn't seem likely to end any time soon. Those of you who are current users will most likely be in favour of weed. Now a debate doesn't really work when you are refusing to consider the opposition's view and that is exactly what will happen here. Just like a kid caught with his/her hand in the cookie jar, you will fight to the death to deny any wrong-doing. The same applies to those who are against weed. You will have your own reasons for not being a user and it is unlikely that the words of strangers on the internet will change your beliefs.
Personally I'm not a fan of it but hey if you want to put it in your system who am I to stop you?
