As we all know Hidan has Death Possession Blood and as far as I can tell there is no range limitation. So, why didn't the Akatsuki just gather blood in battles, then retreat to give the blood to Hidan (or at least in battles they felt were a little too dangerous). The injured ninjas that fought the other Akatsuki members would be going about their business and then drop dead suddenly when Hidan performs the ritual. It seems like a much better strategical option to keep Hidan hidden away and used as a tool seeing as how he wasn't all that great in battle.

Hidan should learn a needle jutsu or something to get easily hold of all the opponents blood in a battlefield... if he was capable of that, then he would be 5 times more dangerous

Because most of the akatsuki ended up in battles where they needed to keep the host alive (like jins) also if you can get your opponents blood that easiliy why not just kill him it shouldn't be to hard since there bleeding xd. they are all s class shinobi they should be able to all hold there own without depending on certain members.

They never really considered fighting someone that could take on two S level ninja who are matched together. People that strong also tend to have a lot of pride. Killing in that way would seem cowardly.

I mean, yeah if they were going after jins they would go about it as planned as they seemed to do alright in that department with the exceptions of Killer B and Naruto. But, I'm saying it could be used as a last resort thing, like when Sasori was losing he could have grabbed some blood off the ground that had already been spilt by Sakura, or have a puppet do it, then gtfo. Kakuza probably could have got some blood if that was his intention, and got out of there before Naruto showed up (although Hidan wouldn't have been there to back him up, although he was pretty much useless to Kakuza in that fight anyway). The main idea is that if they used this strategy they could use spies, underlings, or Zetsu/Zetsu clones to attempt to steal blood from shinobi in the hospital or while they were sleeping, etc.
