If naruto becomes hokage, he will become the strongest hokage there ever was, surpassing both Hashirama, Hiruzen, and Minato.

BASE NARUTO
The first thing we can obviously look at is Base naruto, who has a massive chakra pool and spams rasengans and shadow clones like they are nothing. Just in this basic form naruto already has an army of AT LEAST 200 clones or more. As hokage to ensure the safety of the ninja in his village he could just send his own clones to go on missions and when they finishe theycould just dissapate and he would automatically gain knowledge of what happen.

SAGE NARUTO
Naruto's second form but arguably the physically strongest and most durable. We have already seen the improvements of this form since naruto used it agaisnt Pain.

1. can use more clones
2. can enter for almost instantaneously
3. better mastery over sensory abilities
4. more proficient at using rasenshuriken

As more time passes he will only master it more and more. But at this point he is still surpasses six paths of pain which is saying ALOT. And it will only get stronger.

KYUUBI MODE
Kyuubi Mode naruto is the most versitile form naruto has. He has strength, speed (faster that A), Sensory abilities, And can create basically any type/form of rasengan that he can imagine. There is one word to describe this naruto and it is simply DANGEROUS..

BIJUU MODE
Not much is known about the full power of this naruto but from what we have seen there cant be any doubt that this is the strongest of al the forms.
Its speed is enought to rival Minato and enough force behind his speed to repel TBB's. The power of one TBB from him rivaled the power of 4 other combined TBB's. He still has the potential to be stronger because his link with karuma isnt as strong as it fully be. And now that naruto has recieve chakra from other beast there is a chance that this mode will become stornger and more powerful.

Now this is the scariest thing about naruto, because of his mastery of Shadow clone jutsu, can have all of these forms out at one time.

With all of that being said Naruto is already very powerful, but as we all know from One piece and Dragonball z characters Always get stronger. So if naruto does master all his modes and gains new powers, i think its safe to safe he will be the strongest hokage ever, surpassing hashirama, hiruzen, and minato and posiibly also th strongest shinobi to ever live.

Yes, he really is awesome. But 1 thing: He can't use more then 3/4 clones in Sage Mode, otherwise it would disrupt the Nature Energy.. (or something like that)

Naruto (the Manga) is no longer a battle between shinobi, It's mountain busters/mini moon making/tarain changing.
It's becoming far to much like DBZ (i love DBZ but i dislike where Naruto (manga) is heading), I would like to see it go back to the way it was in part one where chakra actually masttered, So did skill/Jutsu's.

There are a few things that is wrong with what you said.

1) naruto can't use more clones in SM in fact, he has to use less!

2) Naruto might have beaten Pein, but Pein was at a huge disadvantage. The main path couldn't fight for most of the match, Naruto had information on him while Pein didn't, Pein wasn't fighting to kill and Naruto needed help from Hinta and Minato.
