Reason why Itachi is a bad match up for Minato pair minato with someone else

Both are strategical fighters and things like accidentally walking on a kuni/marked areas or looking into an opponents eyes is not happening.

Accidents are how battles are won in high speed battles such as this, minato defeated tobi and if we are going to talk about a strategic fighter tobi is a prime example.

The fact is if minato covers the mass in markings he can move all over the battle field in a blink of an eye, and his kunai protects him from even attacks as powerful as tailed beast bombs.

Are suggesting that itachi should simple stay in one spot with susanoo on? How long will that battle strategy work.

Well no duh he's a hokage , he's not a joke of course itachi needs MS on him. But honestly that can literally be countered by itachi stepping out of range of the markings and deflecting the kunai and not letting them get behind him.

The only people fast enough to do that are A, Naruto and tobi.

you guys make it sound like Itachi can stay in Susano'o all day, he can stay in it for like 10 mins MAX (i doubt even 5) so Minato just has to dodge Sword of Totsuka for 10 minutes and than take down completely tired blind Itachi

And ppl think minato has infinite chakra for FTG

I was thinking that but itachi's susanoo sword wuld cut the chakra lines and dystroy the puppets. Anyways I don't think sasori has anything to counter susanoo... But idk what u might thinkin so

I thinking that itachi could lose because of the traps and poison kinda like sasuka did when she was fighting him but then again itachi too smart just rush someone in a fight, but then again it could work because itachi doesnt spam susanoo like sasuke does. I really wasnt saying that he could beat itachi but if fought him smart and didnt give him time to use susanoo anything could happen

Well by that logic the fight never starts because minato is under genjutsu
I dont consider tobi as a strategical fighter he is a blitz type fighter
and katon destroys seals and itachi would just avoid tagged area minato uses kuni for a reason it gives him more field mobility and its more efficient then having to manually tag the ground/area.

He should be able to pretty much stay in the air and spam the ground beneath him.

Easy way for Minato to finish Itachi. He creates a barrier to block Itachi inside like he says and shows here against Kyubi:

He can spam them it at least 50 times and even more cause after that he went on to help kakshi and rin.

FTG kunais are not attacks to be countered, they massively restrict the area that his enemy can move in.

Itachi deflects a kunai, it is still going to land near him, and while itachi is deflecting the numerous kunai thrown at once minato is placing seals on the ground with his bare hands or placing it on leafs and letting them blow in the wind.

The fact is once itach is surrounded by seals he is bassically surrounded by minato's and if minato manages to get a seal on the ground which is within the susanoo it's over, minato will strike in an instant even before a tsukuyomi is activated.

Itachi is better off using up as much of his chakra as possible to engulf the the surrounding area in amaterasu and then use what chakra he has left to control it's intensity so that he can try and escape.

Not only does this method wreck the users stamina but it only buys him time.

Meh minato should just use SBT to teleport the genjutsu sword if itachi chooses to use it on him.
