Only read the first and last page up to this point but I will say this. I don't really think its all that unfair, I wasn't here at all during most of the break due to the fact that I was in a different state where a friend of mine got into a car accident and I had to spend a good deal of time at the hospital and then after that the funeral. I don't think its a serious issue at all thats worth having our mods bothered by.

what u mean nobody really worked hard i spent lots of hours coming up with theorys and fan fics so u guys could enjoy them! u would not know how hard i work because ur not me and u dont know what i do to come up with those theorys and what i do to come up with the fan fics!
dude i know what hard work and hard thinking is... i am currently writing a book that currently has about 80 pages ok? plus really people think every day... everytime u think of somehthing ur not gonna get thanked for it... and deleting everyone's rep for that day is just a waste of time... honestly it's not much of a big deal... the bars barely even show how popular u really are on the sight i know a lot of people on this site who many people know but do not have many rep bars...
Wow man do u seriosly know what u just said.... u just said i think of an idea and expect to get thanked for it....no have u ever read a thread of a theory before? its filled with loads of bodys of paragraphs filled with usefull information or a thread of a fanfic sombody wrote and spent 3 hours just so u could have something fun to read. alot like a book that u appreantly wrote yourself....IM NOT TRYING TO GET POPULAR i just want to get a little something in return since i spend 3 hours or half a day making something or writing something for u guys and it makes me feel good to know i got this many people likin my stuff, while im getting thanked i might as well try to make it a compition and try to become number 1 or 2 or whatever... but its also bad for the site, people want to come to fun sites and get rewarded and feel good for the stuff they do, and i know for a fact that nobody here will ever get to number 1 now or number 2 or 3 or in the 5 catagory, that chance is completely takin away. i mean come on if im a new member and i want to get in the top 5 how the hell am i gona get 906 or even the number 5 person who has 469...? and i do not understand either why ur putting up so much a fight to stop this thing cause u are neither a person who gained from that "because its christmas" thread or was a person in the top 5 earlyer...also u could never understand why i want this because u were never had as many thanks as me (not trying to sound aragont or anything) just saying all my 146 thanks have gone the toilet along with other members who share the same problem as me!
and that thread created by the site owner was very kind but it was not well organized no offense there were no reminders that said something like that was coming up or anything...if its christmas people want to open presents at home and spend time with their familys....thats all

i said that i am currently writing the books not wrote the book and i'm not writing it to myself i hope to get it published... and no one is asking you to write 3 hours worth of words... u chose too... so don't get mad at other people and i'm not putting up a fight... i'm just telling the truth i'm not standing up for the people who got rep for it i'm just saying the truth... and if u want to feel good about something (i'm not trying to offend u by it but it's true) then what about doing something in the real world? U feel much better when u do something productive in the real world rather than on some website
please don't take this to offense like i know a lot of people would i'm just saying the truth
but when it gets down to it a lot of people get rep just for posting so... a lot of things are gonna be unfair dude... u have to either get used to it, ignore it, or just spend ur life getting angry about stuff

I see it like this the reason it was done was for members to give other members a gift without having to go threw and post or make a thread or find a pic yadda yadda yadda. In a way it was for members to give other members a present of thanks. For those of you that weren't on oh well its not like the rep system fully means sth its just for when someone wants to say thank you or give them reps for sth random so all in all its how ppl viewed other ppl so there is no reason to complain.

How could it have ruined the system if everyone is still looked at the exact same way? Nothing should be done to the Rep system due to the fact it can be viewed in two different aspects either A.) It can be looked at for those who think someone deserves thanks or rep gives it too them (or neg rep if the case maybe) B.) For members too have fun and distribute rep and thanks to those they want to. So how could it have been ruined if nothing will change even if it is reset to how it was? There is no way it could be ruined because the people that got the rapid thanked posts that day got them from people that obviously wanted to give them thanks because if they didn't want to give it too them they wouldn't have in the first place.

Yes but I think that when you thank a thread it's because you think it was useful, and it helped you in some way. Not because the user that posted it is your buddy.
I see the thanking as a reward for something you gave to the forum community, not as a simple gift that a friend of yours gives to you just because he's your friend. The thanks' that really matter are from those you don't know, and that you helped in some way by making an interesting thread.
At least that's how I see it.

I posted new photoshops since Christmass and I got reps / thanks for them! I had no time to do them before before. No one gave me reps for a holiday, they did it for my work. So I don't agree.i agree with it too
