Thanks, I'm not that new though. But I'm suggesting that, Kakashi would've been aware of the massacre, being he had connections with Anbu. And would've asked Itachi to spare Obito(because we all know Kakashi can't stop Itachi with force). And then, somehow make Danzo be okay with sparing Obito as well

Do you not remember who his mentor was? If he had lived there is no telling how much attention Minato would have paid him, after all, Obito acted more like Naruto than any other Uchiha. It would make sense they would get along.
OT: I highly doubt top 5, but if Obito was able to grow up and survive/help with the massacre, then he could be quite strong. And before someone says he wouldn't have survived the massacre, remember that by that time he would no doubt be a jounin in his 20's with likely MS, and as far as we know his personality is more like Naruto than any of the other Uchiha so siding with the Leaf Village certainly isn't out of the question. Kamui would be just one of his abilities most likely if he obtained MS, so the possibility of another unique ability is pretty high.

Nagato,Madara and Hashirama are all geniuses. Obito isn't. To get the MS you have to experience the death of someone close to you. For example if Kakashi or Rin died infront of him he could get the MS.
Wait guys, OP has a point. Obito is so dumb he would have been late to the massacre of his own clan. Then he would have sworn vengeance and killed Kakashi to unlock the sharingan and joined Akatsuki upon finding out it was rigged. Then Tobi would have given him his long-lost brother Shisui's eyes and bam - EMS Obito!

I doubt it, remember the Uchiha weren't that powerful of a clan back then. Why else do you think they were so easily massacred.
Kakashi was a genius, that's why he was able to awaken Mangekyou sharingan. Plus if Obito survived then Kakashi wouldn't always rely on sharingan like he does now. He would've had to develop other jutsu and use the skills he already had.
Plus you forget one important detail, while Kakashi was Jonin, Obito was still a Genin!! That's 2 ranks down, and Obito was not fighting on par with Kakashi, they were just fighting in sync. Kakashi would still have beaten Obito with his sharingan in terms of taijutsu.
Obito was just an average guy, and was cowardly half the time too. He wouldn't have had what it took to unlock the MS.

Anyway I think Obito would have improved as long as Minato remained his sensei and had a rival like Kakashi by his side all the time. No doubt Obito would have become a lot stronger instead of the pathetic weakling disgrace to the uchiha that died.
I don't think he would have been skillful enough to actually unlock the mangekyou sharingan though. Kakashi was a genius so he was able to awaken it (even though he's not an uchiha).
Overrall, I feel Obito would have been a top class Jonin by the age of 18 to 21. Not stronger than Kakashi is now though. Obito would be no where near top 5 though, maybe top 40 or 30.

There is no way Obito would ever be able to compete with those monster's if he where to still be alive at most he MAY be able to have been a MS user. And you can only spam MS ability's so much before you over use your stamina and tire yourself or go blind.

Madara, Izuna, Kakashi, Shisui, Itachi and Sasuke..the 6 persons in Narutoverse who awaken MS were/are a natural genius whereas Obito were a crybaby Uchiha.

He most likely you of been stronger then kakashi, any uchiha who are focused on always has some op abilities. Would of had techs better then kamui. And if not been able to use kamui much better because he is a full bloodied uchiha.
