Please list which shinobi of the shinobi alliance you feel would be best suited (ability/jutsu) for each of the seven swords of the former 7 Swordsmen of the Mist. Please provide information of why you believe a certain sword is best suited to a certain shinobi, and be descriptive. I am trying to see if anyone can come up with a better list than mine! Also, please vote in the poll selection for your top swordsmen of the Alliance (if listed).

PLOT: Below is information needed when choosing swordsmen (some shinobi are not able to be chosen for reasons below), they must be ALIVE and in the shinobi alliance. If you do not want to read my personal pics please skip and post your own list of 7 swordsmen from the Alliance.
Special Note: This is NOT a theory thread. It is just a plot set-up to show you what characters can and cannot be used to form this kenjutsu group. Use the bullet points (below) and choose your swordsmen:

My 7 Legendary Shinobi Swordmen List:
1) Kakashi Hatake = Kiba (“Thundersword”)
2) Might Gai = Sameheda (“Greatsword”)
3) Darui = Kubikiribōchō (“Seversword”)
4) Shikamaru = Nuibari (“Longsword”)
5) Juugo = Kabutowari (“Bluntsword”)
6) Suigetsu = Shibuki (“Blastsword”)
7) Chōjūrō = Hiramekariei (“Twinsword”)

Swordsmen with Honorable Mention: Killer Bee, Mifune, Omoi, Orochimaru (if he is still alive in Kabuto). I would have chosen Sasuke but he doesn’t seem like he’d use any other sword than the one he currently has. And he is too cocky to be a “member” of another group, but would possibly lead the new 7 shinobi swordsmen. Dead honorable mention: Hidan, Gold and Silver Brothers, Sasori, Orochimaru. I have also added a list of the 7 best Kenjutsu users Dead or Alive, just for the hell of it (in no particular order):
Tobirama Senju (Thunder God Sword): 2nd Hokage, also known to master his sword. Used Bringer-of-Darkness Technique, which adds same battle assistance for the silent killing style as the “hiding in the Mist” jutsu.
Killer Bee (Super Vibrato swords) : Yields 8 different swords at once. Nuff Said.
Kimmimaru (Bone Sword) : His dancing lotus kenjutsu bone fighting styles are unmatched by any shinobi.
Sakumo Hatake, The White Fang (Light-Sabre): Held a greater rep than even the Legendary Sanin. Derived nickname from kenjutsu legend.
Mifune (whatever sword true Samurai use lol) : Greatest sword user among ALL Samurai swordsmen. Can use sword to stop opponent from using hand signs… beasty.
Zabuza Momochi (Executioner's Blade) : Killed his entire village worth of students during the Bloody Mist trials. Former ANBU. Regarded as a demon because of his kinjutsu prowless.
**Kisame Hoshigaki (Sameheda) : He (with Sameheda) are known as the “Tail-less Tailed Beast” because of his chakra capacity and the sheer volume of chakra that Sameheda can give to its yielder.
**Mangetsu (Hiramekarei) : He is legendary for being able to master all 7 legendary swords.

3) Sasuke has arrived to the battlefield. He is fighting Tobi and saving Naruto under the pretense that “no one can kill you but ME”, and Suigetsu forms a new 7 swordsmen on the battlefield (so you may use Hebi if you wish, but make a good argument please).
4) Kabuto is still alive and fighting on Tobi’s side (In other words, you cannot use him).
5) All Kages were killed sacrificing themselves to save Gaara (so you can’t pick a Kage except Gaara).
6) Tobi currently has all Bijuu (except 8 tails) at his disposal.
7) Tobi has usage of Gedo Mazo with ALL the tailed beasts chakra.
8) Edo Madara is still “alive” and fighting on Tobi’s side.
9) All Edo’s are dead outside of Madara and the Edos “inside” of Kabuto: Orochimaru, kimmimaru, Sound 4.

My 7 Legendary Shinobi Swordmen List:
1) Kakashi Hatake = Kiba (“Thundersword”)
Fangs Sword… I have contemplated Kakashi for a long time with these swords, to match his “Fang” legacy. Since his father was world known for his prowless in Kenjutsu, kakashi is a natural fit for the swordsmen. His father used a similar blade to the Fang swords (Kiba), as it was able to be imbued with lightning simularly. Also, Kakashi is a top pick for the swordsmen b/c he is the only person other than Zabuza to be shown using the “Hiding in Mist” technique (anime only). He is also highly adept in the silent killing style.
2) Might Gai = Sameheda (“Greatsword”)
Shark Skin… I have made a previous thread about this combination. It is basically the best sword/swordsman combination of all seven in my opinion. With Sameheda, the Tailed Beast chakra that he would absorb in battle should be powerful enough to allow him to open all 8 Gates without dying. He would be able to receive healing chakra from Sameheda as he fought against Madara/Tobi/Tailed Beast chakra. He would be the strongest swordsman of the current seven because of his 8 Gate indestructibility!
3) Darui = Kubikiribōchō (“Seversword”)
The Executioners Blade… I struggled over this decision for damn near an hour. Darui is a skilled swordsman worthy to be a part of the seven swordsmen. His original sword was severed in the war, and the Executioner’s Blade is a very close comparison sword-wise to the weapon he had trained with and used in combat for years. It can be imbued with lightning and used in the same manner as his previous sword. Darui’s black lightning and lightning circus would work great in conjunction with such a large sword (just as he has fought in the past).
4) Shikamaru = Nuibari (“Longsword”)
The Sewing Needle… oddly, I place Shikamaru as the best yielder of this sword. Why? For one, with the “Hidden in the Mist” jutsu active (by kakashi), the entire battlefield becomes a shadow. Furthermore, his mastery with shadow possession could allow him to efficiently use this weapon more than anyone else, since even if the sword doesn’t pierce its target, the string attached to the sword acts like a secondary shadow maker that is connected to the swordsman. Shikamaru could still paralyze targets he missed with the sword by the shadow that the string on the sword leaves… he would be able to shadow possess groups of shinobi at one time while using this weapon! And his genius in strategizing battle exploits are only topped by his father.
5) Juugo = Kabutowari (“Bluntsword”)
The Helmet Splitter… motivated by his love for his group (Hebi), Juugo would be the perfect addition to the seven swordsmen because of his relationship with Suigetsu/Sasuke. With Juugo’s curse mark strength/durability, he would be virtually unstoppable using the blunt sword in battle. The previous user of this sword was a master with it and was not able to produce the sheer strength that someone of Juugo’s curse mark abilities could. This, matched with his bloodlust passion in the heat of battle would make him a worthy adversary.
6) Suigetsu = Shibuki (“Blastsword”)
Splash Sword… Although I have contemplated him with many other swords (Sameheda or Kubikiribocho), but for his abilities, this would honestly be the best sword for him to carry. Since he is able to liquefy his entire body at will, he can be completely reckless while using a weapon that explodes on contact, because he can liquefy his skin to rectify any burns that he would possibly get from using this sword too close to himself. He would eventually have greater mastery than the previous wielder of this sword because of his ability to not be affected by its explosiveness.
7) Chōjūrō = Hiramekariei (“Twinsword”)
Simply put, he is already the current master of this sword. If all Kage were to die on the battlefield, he would surely fight with all his might to avenge his Mizukage’s defeat. Although I don’t know much about him or this sword, he was called a master by Suigetsu, which says a lot about his kenjutsu mastery with this sword. He completes the 7 Swordsmen as the only current master yeilding one of the swords.
