Read all about those green bars .

You can also give rep to someone by clicking the green flag
You must be registered for see images
in the top right of someones post.

"I approve" = +rep

"I disapprove" = -rep

If you're going to -rep someone, you HAVE to give a reason as to why. Also, you have the option to leave a comment for a +rep, but it's not required.

One other thing :3. You can Thank a post
You must be registered for see images
. You can only thank a post to the original poster. (Person who made the thread) This gives the person +5 rep points. Meanwhile giving someone rep through the green flag method gives a person rep depending on your rep power.

In case you don't understand rep power I'll explain it to you because I didn't understand it when I first read it xD.

Register Date Factor - For every X number of days (365), users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power
Post Count Factor - For every X number of posts (1000), users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.
Reputation Point Factor - For every X points of reputation(1000), users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power.

This means, when someone first makes an account. They have the ability to +rep someone and give them 1 point towards their reputation power. But for every year that you're here, you then gain another rep power, giving you 2 points instead of one. The same thing applies for every thousand posts and thousand reputation you get separately)

For example, say you've been here for 4 months, you have 6,200 posts, and 1350 rep.

You'd have 8 rep power in total. One for making an account and being a member, 6 for having 6000 posts, and 1 more for having over 1000 rep. If you had 2000 rep you'd have 2 rep power from rep alone). So 1 + 6 + 1 = 8 (my math skills are remarkable). If you +repped someone you'd give them +8 to their rep power. If you -repped someone you'd give them -4 rep. (Why? Because if you -rep someone you would use half your rep power to do so.) Meanwhile if you Thank a post, you'd give that person +5 rep regardless of how much rep power you have (You could have 20 rep power, but thanking a post would give them +5 rep)

Hope I helped :3

I though negative rep was half of your rep power, so it your rep power is 8, your negative rep power is 4...

Mmm, you could be right. I just assumed xD.. Silly me, I shouldn't be spreading false information. Let me go see if you're right.

You know that that's considered spam, since the question is already answered...

I could say the same thing about your post, and mine D: let's just wait for this thread to die/or for a mod to close it.

how do i delete this thread!?

Well, a user can't delete their thread. A mod can either lock/delete a thread for you. Don't go around asking a mod to do it though, there's specific mods in charge of each section. Meaning they'll come online and see your thread, notice the question was answered and feel obligated to close the thread. No need to stress :3
