For all the DB and Naruto fans here:

-Naruto wise this are my favorite characters:

1)Madara
2)Hashirama
3)Naruto
4)Itachi
5)Minato
6)Orochimaru
7)Tobirama
8)J-Man
9)Tobi
10)Rock lee

- Dragon ball wise

1)Vegeta
2)Goku
3)Vegito
4)Picolo
5)Gotenks

- In my opinion Kishi did a much better job at developing supporting characters , Toriyama tried it with gohan and almost succeeded (SS2) but the saiyaman killed it for me, goten and trunks (excluding future trunks) never lived up to their potential either. Goku/Vegeta carried the show, seems like when its all said and done with naruto I will remember so much more than Naruto and Sasuke.

- Would you agree that Kishimoto created more meaningfull suporting characters than Toriyama?

DBZ cannot be topped, when it comes to support character development Naruto does a better job(BUT then again, Naruto has way more supporting characters to choose from)

Overall DBZ is just too legendary, even Kishimoto admitted being a Dragon Ball fan.

Hell yeah. As much as I love DBZ, they didn't really do any character development. It was all just:
You must be registered for see images
AND that was really the best thing about it :D

Naruto
1)Gai
2)Rock Lee
3)Killer Bee
4)Raikage
5)Jiraya

Dragonball
1)Tien
2)Piccolo
3)King Piccolo
4)Frieza
5)Goku

I find the villains in dragonball more entertaining. As for the supporting cast; most everyone in dragonball who's not a saiyan got thrown into the sidelines, likewise most everyone in Naruto who's not an Uchicha or Uzimake got thrown in the sidelines. The main cast, I still prefer Dragonball.

If you're speaking of just DBZ then yes, but if you're speaking of DB as well then hell no. Toriyama did a great job of developing side characters in DB, but not so much in DBZ.

Kishimoto is pretty much the same. In part 1 he did an excellent job, but in shippuden he's done horribly.

He did good in DB, Killed them in DBZ and other people destroyed them completely in GT
