Jiraiya and Itachi question

So I'm pretty sure Itachi was Jiraiya's spy in the akatsuki so here's my question. What point in time do you think Itachi had decided to be J-mans spy? Do you think it was when Itachi had came to the leaf village for the first time to get naruto? Also does that mean J-man knew itachi was good all along & he knew that is was a mission from Danzo? I want to hear everyone else's thoughts

Jiraiya wasn't working with Itachi... he found out Itachi was in the Akatsuki from watching Orochimaru and then told Kakashi.

Tbh i don't think itachi ever linked info on akatsuki. Wasn't it revealed to be sasori anyway? He was leaking the info to kabuto which is basically to orochimaru.

guys he's talking about the time at the valley of the end when sasuke's thinking back to how itachi prioritizes naruto over him and he remembers seeing itachi and jiraiya talk together xd And they weren't directly related but I bet itachi leaked info if it had anything that would harm konoha

Itachi probably leaked information to some informant who leaked information to Jiraiya. Or Jiraiya probably tickled Hidan into revealing information on the Akatsuki.
