There has been MANY discussions about the true intentions of certain shinobi like Pein/Nagato, Tobi, Itachi, Danzo, etc. claiming that in their own perverted way, they truly want peace.

In Danzo’s case, I disagree. I believe that Danzo was truly an evil shinobi, not just one that has a “warped” vision of peace… and the points below illustrate my opinion:
1) Danzo fought Shisui and succeeded in taking his eye when he learned that Shisui was trying to end the Coup in a peaceful manner.
Evil Intent: This shows he wanted the Uchiha to DIE and not just peacefully come to an understanding.
2) Danzo either influenced the 3rd Hokage himself to mass murder the Uchiha against his wishes, or forcefully used KOTO on him in order to change his mind.
Evil Intent: The manga clearly shows the 3rd Hokage’s original wishes (not to mass murder the Uchiha), asking Itachi to buy him time while he tries to end the conflict peacefully.
3) Danzo either persuaded Itachi to kill his clan under KOTO, or persuaded him (in an evil manner) by bringing up the fact that Sasuke would be killed.
Evil Intent: I know this was a bribe, because if it wasn’t ALL THE UCHIHA CHILDREN WOULD HAVE BEEN SAVED not just Sasuke. Think about it.
4) Danzo “allowed” for Orochimaru to attack the Leaf Village.
Evil Intent: I say allow because he did nothing to help stop the attack and neither did Root. (I wouldn’t be surprised if he knew Orochimaru planned to do this attack on Konoha and waited for him to kill the 3rd Hokage. Orochimaru was in the Root and gave Senju DNA to him, I’m sure they made a deal.)
5) Danzo “allowed” for Pein to attack the Leaf Village.
Evil Intent: I say allow because he did nothing to help stop the attack and neither did Root (sound familiar?). (I wouldn’t be surprised if he knew Tobi planned to do this attack on Konoha and waited for him to kill the 5th Hokage.)
6) Danzo used KOTO on Mifune to try and become leader of the Allied Shinobi.
Evil intent: Very obvious here, but it also shows he has aspirations which exceeded the title of "Hokage”. He could have been Hokage and helped to protect Konoha without being the leader of the allied shinobi forces.
7) After the killing of the Uchiha clan, Danzo then takes the eyes of the deceased and implants them into his arm.
Evil Intent: He did not need to do this if his only intention was to stop the Coup, but this shows that he is extremely power hungry.
8) Danzo used orphans (such as Orochimaru) to do his evil bidding by brainwashing them to do so.
Evil Intent: Why create the Root (ANBU already existed), and do it in this fashion? Why secretly keep the organization alive when it was disbanded by order of the Hokage? Also, why implement the same type of death matches that the "Bloody Mist" were shunned by...? This is coupled by acts such as Danzo forcing Kabuto and his mother to attempt to kill each other for the simple reason that he feared their power.
*********************************************************
Special Note: It has been shown in the Manga that anytime a shinobi attempts to get both Senju DNA and Sharigan eyes, he is attempting to “rule the world”. Danzo acts like a peaceful shinobi that only cares about leading and protecting his village, but honestly I believe that Danzou was also trying to take over the world like every other “evil” shinobi.
What are your thoughts…? Is Danzo truly evil, or a misunderstood good boy…?
If you think he is a good boy please give reasons why!!!
