To me it made me like him even more since he didnt just kill his friend and parents in cold blood and not only that but they understood why he had to do it and Shisui even gave Itachi his other eye.

I have always liked Itachi. He is one of my favorite characters because throughout the entire series he has done things to help people out, even though he was marked as a traitor. Plus he is very analytical.

honestly, this gave me new insight into how the uchiha rebellion situation affected him on a personal level, all the other testimony weve seen about it from tobi/danzo/sasuke just didnt have that emotional strain involved, yes how sasuke viewed it was tragic, but tragic sh*t happens on the daily in naruto-verse, but what itachi had to do, what he choose to do, went above and beyond the call of duty, and the fact that we literally watched his emotions dying as he killed his parents while they gave him praise and accepted the path he choose only makes me appreciate his character more
