The two statues behind itachi and danzo.

Why when danzo suggests that itachi participate in the coup the peaceful statue is shown. xd
Shouldn't the fierce and demonic looking statue should be shown cause coup against leaf is supposed to be bad lol.

And in the next page too itachi is shown with the demonic one again to show that he had accepted the mission shouldn't the peaceful one should be shown cause that mission led to peace?

How do you interpret them?

I was thinking the same thing. Honestly it probably means nothing and you're looking to much into it.

No way itachi choosing that decision which was shown with the demonic statue and then itachi walking in the demonic statue's paths meant something.

Maybe because this choice was killing you friends and family and selflessly sparing your brother, so in terms of choices it was the more evil one. I don't know how to say it.

i think what your trying to say is that the 'demonic' statue represents the betrayal of his clan - although for the greater good - and slaughter of his family that danzo enforced, rather than following the 3rd's orders of choosing peace.

I don´t know much about religion in Japan, so.. maybe the demonic statue is in reality the good one? The path to the peace is paved with suffering? :)

naw read my above post

the peaceful one represents the 3rd hokage's recommendation of a peaceful talk and buying time from his clan, whilst the angry statue represents the choice that danzo enforced through threatening sasuke - to slaughter the whole clan - even if for the greater good.

ie, danzo is a prick

Yes that was a much better way of putting it.

Both are Buddhist statues.

The left statue is not the devil one. It symbolized for the strength of spirit. It also protects the belief and kills the dull-witted and greedy thoughts in people.

My religion is Buddism :D
