You don't teleport right by the tag IIRC (or like touching the tag itself when you reach it). If I'm correct there is some distance between the teleport destination and the tag itself? I think what the OP is trying to do is create a parallel to Deidara's hidden bombs using FTG tags instead. We don't really know why Gaara couldn't sense the bombs in his sand, so it could be either:
1) Gaara senses the tags and takes time to remove them (IE he controls sealing tags in his sand)
2) He cannot sense the tags and might be open if he blocks an attack with that same sand.

Although if Minato summons Gamabunta and has him use toad oil on Gaara's sand, that has a possibility of working.

Ok thank you for explaining +rep
I guess the guy had a good idea but he couldnt explain it.

Sorry, but simple logic would suggest that it would take longer
for Gaara to sense and react before minato could teleport. Were
talking about moving in a manner of milliseconds.:p

wait...someone said that garra can beat minato?

what it nb comin to? :sy:

Were just getting a bad case of the stupids, its
really nothing to worry about. xD

I think the OP is referring to the actual sand being used as offense. IIRC Gaara uses his chakra-infused sand for both offense AND defense. There is a weak-point that Deidara found in this tactic however; if you were to hide a certain offense in the sand that was attacking you, Gaara would automatically bring that same sand closer to him in order to use it as a defense. That's a flaw in having the same attack and defense substance. I don't THINK he's talking about warping over to him and tagging his sand like 3 meters away from him.

Minato teleports to the sand and then gets grabbed up by it. He then gets crushed before he can warp away.

Minato is speed. Gaara's sand can't and won't be able to keep up with him.

All minato have to do is tag the sand that gaara is using to shield him.
Than its all over. Genuis!
gaara releases his armour and adds it to his shield. minato teleports into a wall of sand spikes.
gaara is a being of defence. and minato has nothing that can penetrate it.
The biggest reason is because Minato can move
himself faster than the sand can protect Gaara.
We have seen a few character's that have actually
used brute strength or outstanding speed and on
Gaara, and they ended out on top
not really. the only being on the face of the earth to actually defeat gaara and render him unconscious or dead was deidara. even madara walked away from him and never finished their fight

as seen in gaara's fight against deidara.if minato tags gaara's sand.he can easily attack him after teleportin to d sand.and d sang gaara uses to protect himself is solid.

what if gaara notices the seal and removes that part of sand, or forms spikes on that part of his defence? minatos warping into a trap
