Why aren't the Kages getting back up?

Instead of sending everyone over to Naruto (who's fairing decently against Tobi), shouldn't the Kages get some back up? They've been getting stomped throughout their whole fight.

Well yes and no, they are fighting one guy albeit an incredibly strong guy but they are meant to be the strongest ninjas from each village so people would assume they could deal with it.

They aren't supposed to NEED back up.

But the back up is going to Naruto to create tension and emotion when some of them die.

IT isn't pride its respect... beside they are the trump card(excluding naruto)...the generals...the kages...anyone else would get killed...and naruto believes in themxd

Its like when people wanted to back up Naruto when he was fighting Pain. They said " This battle is beyond us. We would only get in the way" This battle is between the Kages and Madara, so who could possibly help that wudnt get killed by Madara is 5 seconts?

They send back up for naruto because they dont know how strong tobi is and he and bee are there and they know thats what he is after and if he gets it the war will be lost........also they did not know what madara was capable of they thought they could take him until recently now then know they are screwed

They sent everyone to back up naruto and bee not cause they are cocky but so its guaranteed that naruto and bee dont get captured. If naruto and bee get captured then its pretty much a guaranteed loss for everyone. I do believe the kage seriously underestimated edo-madara otherwise they might have kept a couple of extras to stay behind to help perfect susanoo arm wear out from swinging so much.

The kages wouldn't even allow it, they are the represenatives of their village so if they die, they will die with pride. This isn't about logic, its all about pride.

I don't know, but to my knowledge the Onoki asked Tsunadae to give him more chakra from one last strong attack, and that's when he used dust release, than Gaara imprisoned Madara, but he escaped by using sunanoo final form to get out... So by that, I would think Onoki is basically out of chakra, and the rest would be quite low, so I think the only person to finish him off of the Kages would be Tsunadae but I do not see that happening, So I think Sasuke, or Itachi would have to step in, if not All the Kages would not stand a chance at all given the facts they were drained before final susanoo, plus he was just toying with them.

Because Naruto and Bee are far more importent to how the war will turn out then what happens between Madara and the 5 Kage.

If the 5 Kage die, then 5 powerful ninja will have died and a epically powerful ninja is on the prowl, though on the flip side if Naruto and Bee succeed due to the renforcements, Tobi can be defeated and they can then fight against Madara.

If Naruto and Bee are defeated, the war is effectively over, the Eye plan will be put into play and it doesn't really matter whether Madara was defeated or not, because his goal had been achieved.

On another note, Garra' and Old man had noted to have retreated a considerable distance back to lead Muu away from the frontlines, meaning they are also probably the furthest away.

The 5 Kage know that their battle is a small deal, compared to what would happen if Bee and Naruto were captured.

Pride shouldn't be taken into account when every Kage is about to get killed (assuming Madara somehow manages to stay).
