Yet common sense tells you that all three doujutsus (Reningan, Sharingan and byakugan) originate from the same ancestor because they all poses a basic technique..... The ability to see chakra in a person....whether be it flow or how much is left, they share this ability and are the only dojutsus in the manga...

Similar to how theirs some differences between senju and uzumaki..

i think the byakugan is like a spin off from the rinnegan ...well you know the older son had a spiraly looking rinnegan ...when that got passed down to his kids or what ever ...one had sharingan the next byakugan ...i think its like the good side the sharingan is missing ..but all this what i think
