I share an IP addy with another member, is this a problem?

I live in the same house as -Severus Snape- at the moment, so we use the same internet connection. Is that a problem, because I've heard people talking about alternative accounts, and I think some of them got in trouble because of that.

Hope someone can help me out!

Regular members can't figure out stuff like that so you don't have to worry about it and If a mod/admin were to question it I'm pretty sure, as long as it's true, you'll be able to figure out a way to prove it's not an alt account

You can explain to the Mods and Admins if you want to, I'm sure they'll understand.
I don't think it's a problem as you two are seperate people and can prove that, I'm sure. So I don't think you'll get into trouble, don't worry. ^^

No, its not a problem. But if you both are using the same computer its a problem because the IP address of you of both will be same, thus you will be suspected as an alt account.

Well, in OPB, which is the sister site of NB, you have to notify an admin, preferably Yokozuna. Here, you could try asking a Global Moderator(those green people ) about what to do, mostly at least one is online.

Don't worry about it. If either of you gets banned it should be pretty easy to figure out that you both live in the same house and that one is not the alternate account of the other (secrets ). Alternate accounts are permitted on NB though not recommended. As previously stated, the problem that occurs with alts is when one of your accounts has been banned, you aren't supposed to log in to the unbanned accounts. Doing so will most likely result in an extended ban in addition to both accounts being banned.

In other words, we'll cross that bridge if one of you gets banned. You're fine and really don't have much to worry about.
