Tell me how in the world anyone fighting the guy with his eyes completely shut would be able to tell if he's a sharingan user?
I mean seriously how the hell could you tell?! No scratch that I don't think his eyes are shut I think that's how they really are and if so would he even be able to see anything with his sharingan with his eyes like that?

actually in the manga and in the anime he opens his eyes when he activates the sharingan. i think its in the shippuden arc, where it shows young itachi fighting his clansmen, and his father halts him.
