With the naruto series coming to an end(seem like it) & great anime trailing their behind,(bleach,one piece,fairy tail)do you think the naruto series will top dragonball (z,gt) record of holding the number 1 anime spot 12 consecutive years (1988-2000) naruto is currently running 9 years strong at note 1.(2003-current)

Dragonball is like the God of all anime but its nice to see another anime take a run for their record..if naruto can't do it then its going to take awhile for another great anime series to try.

Pokemon held no.1 in (01-02) trailing dbz the other previous years, so technically it did beat them.

pokemon is not a anime that can be compared with dragon ball z simply because its a diff kind of production. Its more of a fantasy cartoon.

Manga wise no, Anime wise never, in 100 yrs never. Its not that naruto is bad its just that Dragon ball( or even DBZ) is way better.

With DBZ most of grew up watching it. We bought the video games.. from PS2 to GBA.. Its like when we grow up were guna tell our kids watching tv.. "You shoulda seen DBZ now that was a cartoon".
Naruto is great its just wont have that kind of effect. To many people cry in it and all that emo stuff. You cant compare the two..
