What the hell does Tobi want from this current battle?!?!

I think we can all come to a mutrual understanding on base and all agree that tobi is not trying to capture the nine tails in this current battle.

He is leaving that to sasuke for what ever reason, to unlock the rinnegan :shrug: something for the Juubi :shrug: anyway..

So my question is what the hell does tobi want from this battle?!?!

If I was to guess I would say just 8 tails but I am not sure, does anyone know what tobi actually wants from this fight. Any ideas, theories ?

Hmm interesting, I never thought of that. Tobi may think sasuke is Narutos weak spot, which is sorta true. And use Narutos strong feelings towards Sasuke as a benifit by making him emotonally weaker. I dont know lol. But I think this war will ultimately bring peace. The villages were able to set aside their past problems and make an allied shinobi force. Fear and a common enemy usually bring people to a mutual understanding.

Something I have thought about in the past is that Sasuke and Naruto are somehow linked to unlocking the Juubi's power...all the foreshadowing of the divination of 2 clans from 1 ultimate being(Sage of six paths) who was able to control and seal such a large power as the Juubi. Tobi is waiting for something IMO...some moment to strike...just a theory of course.

i honestly dont know why hes fighting naruto, its very odd, and judging from the panels you posted he intends sasuke to fight naruto so we can assume naruto will probably make it out of this fight, maybe hes just after bee?

The best way to think of is that he havent captured the 8 tails yet so even if he have naruto he cant extract the 9 tails and that would jeopardise his plans. So until he captured and extracted the 8 tails he will let Sasuke weaken Naruto then take the 9 tails from him after tat..
