Since Kakashi only use Kamui as last ressort, Amaterasu will land first(especially if it's Sasuke), but technically kamui is faster to release since you only need an blink of an eye to release the jutsu(Kakashi had 3tomoes sharingan and use MS and Kamui in an instant like you can see on this pic)

So technically Kamui is faster, but since Kakashi won't try kamui from the start(it's his joker i'd like to say), Amaterasu(from Sasuke especially) would land first but Kakashi could still teleport it away with kamui by seeing it coming

Yes, but like i've said it will land first only cuz of the user. If you give Kamui to Sasuke and Amaterasu to Kakashi for example, Kamui will land first. He don't hesitate to use powerful attacks from the start in the contrary of Kakashi(who fights a little bit like Itachi, observing the opponent before calmly). They don't have the same amount of chakra also

All I am saying is that it is possible to seal amamterasu (as shown by jiraiya using a high rank fire sealing scroll, relatively pocket sized) and force amamterasu off of you (as shown by nagato).

It does not have to destroy the whole susanoo, just make a head sized hole, or heart sized.

Good point. I think it's also a reason. I think he doesn't even train it since he doesn't want to go blind quickly. That's why i've said that maybe if he gets EMS, he could use Kamui at maximum of his potential. But unfortunately i don't see how he could get EMS

How?? Kakashi doesn't have enough chakra. And he is a tactical and analytic fighter. He is not rushing like Sasuke. It's sure that if he has Amaterasu, he won't use it at the start, in the contrary of Sasuke who doesn't hesitate at all to use his most powerful techniques from the start. So in this case, Sasuke will land Kamui first no matter what

How is someone going to battle craft on that level of strategic planning when plot takes such a huge role in battles in this manga and others.

kakashi's tactical prowess means going into detail about how he would win a fight would mean referencing different environments the speed of different attacks the times at which he would usually use shadow clones.

These aren't all out debate threads.. the fact is kamui is there and kamui > a lot

No, it's not useless. It's a great defensive technique. Saved them from Deidara's explosion, saved Chouji, saved him vs Sasuke.

It's just not a necessary technique to have for debates regarding him.
