Am I the only one who, by now, only reads the manga because it would be too bad to quit after going through all of it?

And for this precise reason : all the great characters have died. Most of the shinobi left alive for the war are boring, except for a few.

I mean ok, Madara + Tobi, Naruto, Kabuto and the Kages, they may have cool jutsu. But what do they fight for, besides "peace" and "world domination"?

Jiraya, Itachi, Nagato, Konan, the Akatsuki, Orochimaru, Hiruzen, and who else.. most of which died because the plot required them to. They had their individual beliefs and were much less generic than the remaining ones.

We all know that Madara and Tobi will be done by a main-character no jutsu even though they're completely overpowered by now. And we also all know the plot between Naruto and Sasuke will end exactly like Goku and Vegeta in Dragonball Z. This isn't Sasuke Shippuden.

I respectfully disagree. Kabuto and Sasuke are two remaining characters with complex motivations. One could argue that even Tobi's true intentions may not be fleshed out yet.

I agree completely, word for word. The manga is nearing its climax, yet it feels kinda lame with everyone becoming DBZ powered. This kind of power takes away the unique-ness of what Naruto was. Giant Susano'o, Naruto's BM mode, and Tobi summoning tailed beasts like it's nothing is far too much for the Naruto universe. And if 10 tails get revived, it's going to totally kill everything.

Only reason I still watch is because it's still a decent manga and after watching it for like 7-8 years, it'd be a complete waste to stop now...:(

It's your problem that you think Kishi ruined it. I couldn't care less lol

Welcome to the Base! :D

I disagree; there are still loads of good shinobi alive, and plenty of questions that will be answered.
Also, Tobi and Kabuto are far from 'generic'. The mystery of Tobi is perhaps one of the best questions in the entire manga, and Kabuto is an extremely unique shinobi based on his backstory and his complex motives.

In the end, most of what happens by plot has progressed either Naruto or Sasuke to become stronger, and it's all preparation for their final dramatic clash. Regardless of how that will end, it will certainly be something worth watching.

Ultimately, your opinion remains solely yours. If you don't like what Kishimoto is doing with the manga, then you are not inclined to continue reading it. :D

i agree i mean the ninja theme it once had has practically completely disapeared, i mean seeing itachi do the edo tensei handsigns was one of the first times in part 2 where the handseals have been used properly, i really miss the ninja theme it had.... its becoming to much like dbz i mean how in the world is a giant susano ninja like things are more exciting when they were alot weaker IMO

@ sabuto hey long time no speak and yes the final scene is an exception as it will be epic

I mean you could pay for it. Imagine that. Or just be grateful you get it for free.

I feel like Part 1 was Naruto's prime in term of plot development (not necessarily the over all plot, really just the way it was executed for me). Too many characters were forgotten or not given proper time, which is what Naruto is commonly criticized for. Although I still like current Naruto; some characters like Madara, Tobi, Naruto, etc. keep me going.

Sasuke I think, is a realistic character with his own mind. He is very human. Most people hate on him because he opposes the main character but really, he's been dealing with the death of his family and brother very well, while Naruto has had is ego increased out of being so spoiled.

So yeah I agree that it's still interesting to see how Sasuke will end, but what hopes does he have against the flawless main character no jutsu?

actually, madara will break edo tensei, and stomp naruto into the ground

while sasuke slaughters the leaf village

then the juubi will be summoned, and mugen tsukuyomi will be activated

and the world will plummet into infinite genjutsu darkness

theres your plot no jutsu :p

from the beginning, naruto dropped the ninja theme.

fact is, the series evolved. if you cant evolve with it, too bad for you

I think between Naruto and Sasuke, the resolution will be more complex than winning or losing. At least, that's what I hope.

yeah, past fights like Orochimaru vs Hiruzen or the Sannin showdown look embarrasing compared to what's happening in the manga today, I think Kishi hyped up his characters too much in part 2 and made them far too powerful compared to part 1. Orochimaru was supposed to be one of the most dangerous men on the planet, EVERYONE feared him. when part 2 came along, there's a ton of people that could WIPE the floor with him.

Kishi's measurment of part1 and part 2 are very different anyway. Hiruzen took on Hashirama, Tobirama and Orochimaru in his old age, yet Kishi boosts about how Hashirama was comparable to the So6P??? Well if that's true Kishi, why the hell did Hiruzen even last like 2 seconds against him back during the Chuunin exams???

I also agree with whoever said there is no more ninja theme.

These battles now, are no longer about strategy and deception. They're just about who's ninjutsu is strongest, or who's more essential to the series... unless Itachi is involved.

Remember how Naruto had to think hard and pull off smart attacks on his enemies in order to win? Like agains Neji? Now he only uses kage bunshin then proceeds to hit his enemy with rasengan, all the time...
