Plot
Lollipop Chainsaw focuses on zombie hunter and cheerleader Juliet Starling, who fights hordes of zombies in San Romero High School, which Starling formerly attended. She carries with her the severed, yet still living, head of her boyfriend Nick, who she decapitated after he suffered a zombie bite. It is also revealed that Juliet will be assisted by her sisters, Cordelia Starling, the elder one and Rosalind Starling the younger sister. The enemy zombies are led by "a group of zombie rock and roll lords" who were former high school students who were turned into intelligent zombies. The zombie outbreak has been caused by Juliet's former classmate, an evil goth sorcerer named Swan.
Gameplay
Lollipop Chainsaw is a hack and slash, with gameplay resembling Suda51's No More Heroes games. In the game, Juliet has light attacks, which are acrobatic kicks and punches, and heavy attacks, which she uses her chainsaw for. The light attacks are intended to herd enemy zombies together so that Juliet can finish them off all at once with heavy attacks. Killing enemies and saving classmates that are being attacked by zombies will fill up Juliet's star meter, which is used for super attacks. Juliet's boyfriend Nick, a disembodied head hanging from her skirt, can be used for various purposes, including being kicked at enemies by Juliet or being put on the body of a decapitated zombie to control it. When the player completes certain tasks in the game, Juliet's chainsaw will be upgraded. Suda has also said that part of the gameplay "might involve sound".

Foreword
Alright, a lot of people think that Lollipop Chainsaw is just some generic weaboo shit-game. It basically is a weaboo game but come on, it's developed by Grasshopper Manufacture which is lead by the genius Suda51. They developed amazing games like "No More Heroes" and "Shadows of the Damned". And Lollipop Chainsaw is not a title that should be taken serious, a lot of people don't understand that.
Oh, you're wondering why I am already writing this - considering the official release date is the 15th for me? Well, as lucky as I am. I called my local Gameshop today (Technically Yesterday since it's already 3:47AM) and asked if he would already have it since some of the online-shops already had it in stock. Long story short, he had it, I wen't over there and got it. (God, he always sells games early, love the guy.) I haven't really been playing that much since I've been out with my buddies almost the entire day.
First Impression
My first impression of the game was just awesome. I had a blast playing through the first few minutes. There is also an Achievement where you have to peep under her skirt. (I always skim through the achievements when I'm installing the game.) So, I started the game up and tried to do that in weird ways but it's harder then you think. I've been about 4 hours in the game and still haven't managed it. (I kinda stopped trying anyway after the first 15 minutes of trying to peep.)

Stupid, Undead Douchebags!
Like I said before, I'm about four hours in the game and just beat the third boss. Gameplay in general is nice, Combos work pretty good and it's great that you're able to buy all sorts of stuff in the shop, new combos and things to boost your health, damage etc. You can also buy things like Concept Art and MP3's - Oh by the way, the Soundtrack of the game is pretty awesome - you're also able to buy Costumes but I will get to that later.
I'm a big fan of the dialogue, it's just so damn funny at times. The only thing that was kind of a let-down for me is that you're unable to enable the original Japanese Voiceover because I would've loved to hear the voice of Kitamura Eri in that game. She's one of my all-time favorite voice actresses. (Some of her important roles were "Saya Takagi" from Highschool of the Dead, "Araragi Karen" from Nisemonogatari, "Yui" from Angel Beats or "Ami Kawashima" from Toradora)
What a shame.
Anyways, back to the Game. Did I already mention that it's totally awesome? I think so. Besides that, there are a lot of fun minigames and A LOT of Quicktime Events! I love Quicktime Events! I noticed that most of the games that used to have them kind of lost them over time so I was glad to get a game that had a lot of Quicktime Events.
Pros and Cons
Game doesn't really have a lot of contras, I guess. Sure, you could say that the game gets repetitive but doesn't every game kinda get repetitive after time? So I won't use that as point. So far, I have only one thing to add to the Contra list and that's just some minor issue. At some point, after slicing up a piece of wood or garage door she just stopped moving. I couldn't walk with her so I kind of had to jump the next few feet until a little cutscene appeared and then I was back to normal. (Isn't really a problem tho, only happened two times two me.)
Well pros, the whole game is a pro for me. . . so far. No but seriously, the combat is awesome and works fluently without any problems (Not like in the Arkham Games tho). The Characters, the characters are simply awesome. I love Nick, dude's awesome and I really like his phrases. Juliet's family is pretty hilarious as well and Juliet herself, oh wow, I already laughed a few times at the things she's spewing out of her mouth.
Also, the soundtrack. Soundtrack's awesome it doesn't really have any Japanese Music in it. (Which is a good thing for some people but I honestly don't really care as long as it fits the game.)
And I think that's pretty much it from me. (Will get to the Costumes of course, I didn't forget that.)
Costumes
Well, well. What do we have here? The Costumes were another thing that really made want to buy this game. After I found out that it will feature Costumes from Anime like "Highschool of the Dead", "Deadman Wonderland" or even "Korewa Zombie Desu Ka? (Is this a Zombie?)" There also is a Costume from "Manyu Hiken-cho"! I was really worried because I thought that those Costumes will only be available in the Japanese version - Turns out I was wrong. Soon after that announcement the official Twitter of Lollipop Chainsaw got questioned by a lot of people so we got the answer that those costumes well be available WORLDWIDE. Next thing I was worried about is that those were going to be on-disc DLC packs, I mean, isn't it kind of inhumane to NOT DO THIS NOWADAYS? Haha, jokes aside but people really are going overboard with this shit. I'm already paying full price so I want to have the FULL DISC.
Turns out I was wrong again, it was announced that those costumes are unlockable through-out the whole game. You can find the full costume list below. There are also some Costumes that you can't unlock by playing the game, you only get those when pre-ordering at certain shops. (I didn't pre-order shit but the guy still gave me a code, turns out it was the "Ash"-Costume from "Evil Dead", hells yeah.)
