I know that the uchiha can use izangi to a extent without senju DNA but I don't know What that means does it mean that they can take damage away like someone with senju DNA using it.

It would much more simple if kishi said it can be used without senju dna but very risky like maybe the eye closes are 5 secs. And then with senju dna it is longer like with danzo being 1 min. But maybe kishi is going some where with this.

Basically you just answered a rhetorical question.

All those uchiha's couldn't have had senju DNA therefore Izanagi doesn't need senju.

Izanagi doesn't need Senju DNA if used by an Uchiha. The reason Danzo needed the Senju DNA was to allow him to alter his arm for the multiple Sharingan.
