and think of this kishi has got rid of all the sage of six paths sons descendants, senju magically died, uzumaki village destroyed, uchiha clan assassinated. But kishi leaves the hyuga clan so maybe he likes them more then we think. Maybe he doesn't want to involve them in this ninja world of lies.

Edo Madara is prob more powerful in terms of destruction (without tobis bijuu) but Tobi would imo still pull it of. And Tobi is using his powers to control the 6 bijuus so it should be counted sense his utlizing his tools.

Whatever the case those two + kabuto(with edos) are undeniably the top 3 in the series (minus so6p)

I always stay open minded and believe it could be either or! Most people on this are already biased w/ their own perspective so ill just stay neutral or agree to disagree i guess?!

Maybe non-uchihas can ascend to rinnegan, considering the 6th path tablets are written in ems and rinnegan, maybe both need to be there and madara foresaw this so he needed senju dna. Maybe he meant he gave the rinnegan to nagato by making the leaf kill his parents or something(doubt though, but just saying).
The 6th paths goal was to have world peace and he thought breaking things down for others would lead there, im sure he intially didnt expect his sons to fight, and thought they would help each other.

Maybe madara did give literally give him the eyes. Nagato cant turn his rinnegan off so it seems, plus all the mumbo jumbo tobi said. Plus saving yahiko the first time Nagoto blacked out, which is what i would assume would happen for not being able to turn your eyes off after a large release of chakra, or at the end of life, after he died.

anyways guess we can just wait and see.

I believe Nagato was born with the sharringan because he has uchiha blood inside of him also i believe when Tobi was calling him the 3rd Sage of 6 paths he meant he had both inside of him.You cannot be called a sage of 6 paths without senju and uchiha...

Maybe his parents getting killed were just zetsu clones to awaken the sharringan i might make a theory about this actually

I dont understand your post but let me put this into perspective.

Sage- has rinnegan + juubi
power split EQUALLY between 2 sons:
Elder Son (ES) - has eyes
Younger son - has body

Seeing as the ES got the eyes and powerful chakra, it can be assumed that he possessed a watered-down version of rinnegan (that spiral looking thing). YS got the body and great amounts of chakra. Stamina is not a problem as powerful chakra and amount of chakra equal out, as i said in my post before.

The manga has stated that it is possible for rinnegan to be achieved by "evolving/upgrading" sharingan. Whether Senju DNA is needed is still up for debate.
Using common sense, we can infer that:
If you are a descendent of ES, you need the body, in form on DNA, which is what you are missing from your genes to unlock rinnegan.
If you are a descendent of YS, you need the eyes, which is what you are missing from your genes to unlock rinnegan.

Seeing as Nagato is an Uzumaki which branched from Senju, it can be inferred that he is missing the eyes. Logically, the only way for him to get rinnegan is through implanting eyes, as i stated above why. More proof of this is:

yes, this is what i was getting at. i believe that it is not a natural progression of sharingan as their earliest descendant did not have it, thus something was missing from the very beginning so it is not possible for it to be "natural" if they are pure blooded uchiha/senju
