Well, first off. I looked for it on FAQ and used search tool but couldn't find it so I'm sorry if this thread has been made already

How old could a thread be/last post of a thread and you're allowed to bump it?

For those of you who don't know what bumping is, it's when you post in your thread after it's been disregarded so it goes back to the top of the list. At least, that's my definition :3

Let me reword my question. Say I have a thread, and I really liked the question at hand. Although maybe I got 4-5 replies, a week later I bump the thread by posting in it because I didn't want to start a new thread about it. Is a week too long of a period of time for you to be able to bump a thread? If not, how long are you able to until it's considered rule breaking? If there's a definite time for this, someone please tell me.

[EDIT] While I'm here.. Do the Post Icons do anything significant to a post? (The outside border of your post, you can choose default, shouting, whispering, or thinking) Just curious.

at least a month.... maybe more

Why such a long period of time? I mean, I understand you don't like duplicate threads but a whole month is just.. Wow, thread resurrection much. By the way, where did you get that information from?

If there hasn't been any reply in a month, and you make a reply in it, you bump the thread, although I think training threads are an exception on that rule, but I'm not 100% sure about that...

Btw, it's in the U_U

Correct. However, if the thread is about to approach one month of inactivity and you "bump" it, it's still dead. If discussion has completely stopped for a month or nearly a month, let it die. There's a high chance that any additional replies will only last a day or two before the thread dies out again.
