Why didn't Tobi utilize the akatsuki members appropriately?

He seems like a sharp intellectual individual, but why didn't he use the akatsuki in a beneficial manner...it seemed as they were all trolled.

Yes, i agree since there are many bijuus and they wanted to save time to capture them, but didn't that cost them their lives being impatient with hasty decisions.

They probably did the partner system because the bijuu were scattered across the narutoverse and to travel as one whole group would be alot more time consuming.He also figured that since they are all S class criminals that they didn't need to be traveling in huge groups. But i do agree most of the akatsuki were trolled.

There was no single weak or shitty shinobi in akatsuki.. all were s-rank rogue ninjas with UNIQUE skills that get picked up to akatsuki. it was plot that they got killed by some randoms, you just cant take akatsuki dude on 1v1, well hidan got kicked out ( cuz of being immortal he was really cocky and not acting smart or seriously at all) and some others too that wanted to die got owned by plot.. tobi said he was former shell from hes prime.. ( we dont know 100% who he is lol) but if he's trolling strong opponents for fun, he must been some god damn strong before he got weak/old

No, akatsuki members were partnered up with who have similarities.

Deidara/Sasori - Passion in sadistic forms of art
Kisame/Itachi - Betrayed their family and teammates
Kakuzu/Hidan - Immortals (Seemingly)
Pain/Konan - Family, teammates, and have a blind view of judgment
Zetsu has never had a partner

Now that I think about it the akatsuki have never had ten members during the original or shippuden series. Orochimaru left and never gave the ring up. He was out of the organization before his first appearance. So this only left nine rings.

Tobi joined when sasori died, thus replacing them back up to nine.

I think Tobi altogether screwed his team up. He should've sent them in groups of four, as Akatsuki are almost ALWAYS against many more opponents than they are. The only reason the Akatsuki never caught all of the Tailed Beasts, except maybe the Hachibi, is because of plot. Including the Kyuubi.
