I was just thinking thunder is fast but lightning is faster.

What if naruto developed a even faster technique...

FTG > Lightling because FTG is not speed based jutsu. It's kind of Reserve Summon Jutsu, "Teleportation" instantly, so no-one can surpass it with bare speed.

I know but it has thunder in the name of the technique. i know it doesnt teleport at the speed of thunder im just stating a real life fact.

Wait, you thought Flying Thunder God allows someone to move at the speed of thunder? lol.

Thunder is just sound, so it moves at a piss poor speed compared to lightning.

FTG allows someone to move instantaneously, so no-one can move faster than it.

Naruto is faster than FTG in Bijuu Mode, so he doesn't need to create a new technique.

Minato had enough reaction time against raikage, but only if raikage did not have knowledge of Minatos possible jumping locations.

Naruto is faster then raikage, but only barely... There is nothing that suggested that naruto is faster then the speed of light or ftg tech.

Still... I won't argue against that naruto bijuu mode has faster reaction time then Minato.

Well nothing can be faster than FTG because it is a S/T jutsu, the user doesn't move but rather bends space and time in order to get to that destination.
Think of it this way: on a route A->B->C Naruto as fast as he is if he wants to go from point A to point C he first has to reach point B while Minato with FTG can go straight to point C.

And since FTG is instant , even if Naruto would create another S/T jutsu it would only be on par with Minato's. The only way to surpass it would be for Naruto to have better reflexes (which i think he already has in SM) and get rid of the limitation of the Seal (the mark on the the destination that Minato uses) and come up with another way, maybe sensing the place where he wants to go (we saw that he is now pretty much the best sensor out there)

Lightning Release technique are known to move slower than natural lightning, so much slower that you can visually track the lightning as it moves with your naked eye. So ordinary lightning release technique's speed would pale in comparison to the FTG technique.

If you want to talk about natural lightning, or Kirin, than it is much harder to tell but I still think the FTG wins since a lightning strike is very fast but not instantaneous.
