Lol because he can't beat tobi or swat 6 tbbs doesn't make him useless. He'll find something to do. Think of it like this. In the cell saga, vegeta was clearly weaker than cell, his attacks did nothing against cell and he felt useless. Even though he felt useless it was his beam that hit cell that abled gohams kamehameha to overwhelm and defeat cell, right? So just because someone doesn't have the pure power to defeat an oppose doesn't make them useless they can help in other ways.

Almost no one can help out in the war, the way you bring it, the kage's have their hands full with Madara, but no one is able to do something about tobi, Kakashi isn't the only one who's useless in the way you are talking about...

Tobi is to high on the power scale for Kakashi and Guy, It's Naruto's fight to win or lose, only Naruto has the power needed to stop Tobi.
