What was the point with Edo Madara's upgrades?

When Madara was revived via ET he had been upgraded to both the Rinnegan AND Hashirama's Mokuton. However what was the point of giving him these OP upgrades when Susanoo (an EMS tech) could solo the 5 kage?

At first i thought it had something to do with Izanagi but due to recent chapters, it seems Mokuton is not needed to perform that jutsu.

What do y'all think?

we dont know if the perfect susano'o is done with ems. it could be the result of rinnegan. we dont exactly have proof that he was using it against hashirama

I don't give two shits about whether or not it was Kabuto or Madara himself that upgraded him. All I care about is the POINT of these upgrades.

Mokuton has nothing to do with PS and neither does MS. Madara already possesed kabuto's upgrades and hashi's dna so madara isn't OP cos of kabuto.
