I would've said soul eater if black star wasn't so annoying and there wasn't all that useless fanservice. Oh and I kind of just like black butler anyways because I really like dark anime and manga.

Mmmm... Currently in the manga, I don't think Black star is as annoying as he used to be... but if he is, then I just can deal with it. Bout the useless fanservice... what can I say? It's just dumb.

It is about this boy whose parents die so he signs a contract with a demon named Sebastian who needs to accomplish all his tasks and follow all his orders and avenge his parents death until the contract is broken after which he is allowed to devour his soul it's a really good dark super natural thriller you should definetly check it out.

IoI Well, he's suppose to be funny.
To make a balance with the rest of the main characters: Maka is a worm book who is serious and although she's nice, ppl can get tired of her.
Soul is kinda dumb, but after the kishin revived he matured, and actually got a deeper developed regarding his mental state, so he's a dark guy now.
Kid... he's dumb sometimes, but most of them he's badass.
Sisters thomson: Not enough screen time as to balance them properly.
Tsubaki: She's nice, but sometimes I don't want to see her due the fanservice.
As ya see, Ookube needed someone superdumb. Anyway, the arc of Baba yaga battle is great! You should see it, even Black Satar was amazing! No foolishness that time (well, maybe at the first, but nor cause Black star).
