he didnt get raped by kakashi, 1st battle he wold of died in that prison if it wasnt for naruto and sasuke and kakashi stated in the episode today that when they were battling, zabuza couldnt put away the fact that hakus death affected him and he was falling apart not thinking, thats y kakashi said "he cant fight like this" and "its different this time, now he is just a tool" thats y this time he was able to slash kakashi, dont underate him

Actually, it was his overconfidence that got him killed and somewhat, of Naruto's Talk NO Jutsu and Haku's death. By, overconfidence, I mean of surviving Kakashi's first attempt to kill him and then claiming on how he seen Kakashi's fighting style, of how he seen through all his moves and whatnot. That sort of thing gets people killed.

On-Topic: Zabuzu was an ambitious fellow, but he was confident in his skills that he believe he could match and beat the Kage. It was more of a testament of his strength because the Kage was consider strong in their respected village.
