Suigetsu was born in the village Kirigakure and was well known along side his brother Mangetsu, to be the incarnation of the Deceased "Zabuza Momochi", He and his brother Wanted to inherit the title "Legendary swordsman of the mist" This alone chose their decision to finish cruel missions day by day. The first one to become a legendary swordsman of the mist, was Mangetsu, Suigetsu's motivation to become one of the great swordsman was destroyed following the death of his brother he then changed his goal into "Collecting all the swords", He wanted to collect the blades passed down by generation in the mist so he could rebuild the group and become their leader. Suigetsu was then captured by orochimaru and kabuto yakushi, his goal then was put on hold.

Taijutsu
Suigetsu is a Very capable fighter, or atleast very confident in his abilities, , since he has threatened Sasuke on more than one occasion and was capable of stopping Jūgo's rampage with little difficulty. Kisame has noted him to be a child prodigy in the art of murder, and that he is practically the reincarnation of Zabuza. In an anime-only fight, Suigetsu was also shown fighting hundreds of foes unarmed, showing that he is also capable in taijutsu.
Intelligence
Throughout Naruto Shippuuden suigetsu has shown a lack of intelligence as he is an agressive character, who always likes to fight, But shown some when fighting the eight tails, and decided to sacrifice himself, knowing his body was made out of water.
