I don't see where he played a part with Tobi. Edo's were Kabutos puppets. So he played a part against Kabuto, not Tobi. Tobi's army was Zetsus, Gedo Mazo and himself, that's all, and he did nothing against that. It's Naruto the one who killed the Zetsus in company of some powerful ninjas, and he is the one who fight Tobi and his Gedo Mazo right now
