A quick question about rep

So, umm.. I was looking at the rep thing in FAQ and it didn't have an answer, so I'm making a thread. Sorry if it's not "thread worthy"

Sometimes when people with a high amount of rep +rep me I get more than 1 rep..

Err, let me rephrase that if it's confusing. I thought whenever someone +reps you you'd get 1 more reputation point added to your total. But sometimes when someone who has say +1000 rep +reps me I get 10, sometimes 20 +reps.
Say I had 7 rep. I made a good thread and 3 people +repped me. Now I have 28 rep instead of 10.

Is this normal? Has there been a +rep update? or am I just stupid? >.> Someone please help me :s

Your rep power depends on the amount of posts you have I think... not too sure

1 point to start with
1 point for every 1000 posts
1 point for every 1000 rep points
1 point for every 365 days you've been a member
