Problems with the Manga page

I've been having this problem for a while now. Whenever you click on the Manga you're redirected to a page where you can read the Manga, but you always see the Latest Threads, the Hottest Threads and the Popular Threads this week bars. The reason why this is problematic for most people is because if you're in a situation where it's been a few hours since the Manga was released and you see the bars at the top, and there's a thread that gives away what happened in the Manga it'll end up spoiling it for you.

To eradicate this problem perhaps we could create a sort of option that allowed us to hide the bars at the top only for when we are redirected to the Manga.

That's actually not a half-bad idea. Or even have then automatically "collapsed" until you click on them to come down.

Though I just purposely do not look at those bars before I read the manga release. Self-discipline!

Thats a good idea if it bothers you. It never bothered me, i just try not to look at the listed threads and i dont care if i am spoiled cause im going to be reading it in a couple of seconds anyways xd

That doesn't exactly resolve the problem. I can appreciate where you're coming from but I think that members shouldn't have to scroll down for their own safety.

The spoiler in the thread titles are agianst forum rules for this very reason.

Spoilers: Not everyone is at the same point of the anime or manga; Respect that by placing the Spoiler Tags where appropriate. Also, please make sure that your thread's title does not contain any spoilers either. This is to protect the members that aren't fully up to date with the latest manga releases. If you can't refrain yourself from doing so, then the staff of NB will change the title(s) of your thread(s) and you will receive warnings/infractions. Allow your creativity to take the place of names or battle outcomes etc.

The problem is that even some of the old members do not pay attention and would put the spoiler titles up. Some how they miss the common sense that adding the the tag "Spoiler" is redudndant if their title has the spoiling content already.

Also this could be avoided somewhat if members wouldn't rush to make their separate discussion threads in the latest chapter- while we put up a sticky specially for this.

Report such titles and make your fellow users more aware of the problems and rules. That's would be more effective because even if it is not on top and you end up at the forum before reading the manga you will still get spoiled.


I sometimes change titles or merge thread with others when I see too blatant a title but it is not possible to keep track of all of them all the time unless members cooperate and follow the rules.

Spoiler tags in front of thread dooesn' help much if it still helds the spoiler in titles itself. Spoiler tag helps people in deciding whether to open the thread or not in the first place if they don't want it. But they will already read the title
"I knew Tobi was superman" whether they read the thread or not.

As for idea- I am not sure it will work. The latest/ hottest threads are on top invite people to discussions when they come at site to read the manga.
