i belive sasori has a chance to defeat itachi
due to most every thing that itachi has sasori has a way to block it
ameteratsu wouldint affect sasori as he can simply change bodies

yata shield being the main advantage
besides taking so much chakara

but itachi cant keep it up for two long
after all data book itachi stanima is 2.5
sasori is 5.0
im sure sasori would out last itachi
im not saying he would win all the time but i think sasori has a chance

He surely has a chance but I still give it to Itachi. I agree that the best thing for Sasori to do is to simply out-last Itachi, but that seems more viable with a sick Itachi than a healthier one, who could probably use Susano'o more. Maybe that should be the comparison? Remember that it will take strategy combined with some of Sasori's extra speedy attacks to actually force Itachi to use Susano'o.

I dunno if some attacks from Iron Sand would work on Itachi, that's the thing. Even if Chiyo was controlling Sakura at some parts, they were dodging others pretty fine as well (refer to Sakura dodging the big block of Iron Sand and punching it back at Sasori). His extra speed is a big plus and his Sharingan makes up for Chiyo's battle experience by being able to predict enemy projectiles. I'm not saying he won't use it but honestly it would probably be used when Sasori uses World Order or something. I feel that his other defense, his foot speed and reactions + other jutsu, are downgraded because they're being compared to Susano'o.

He might need it for 100 puppets later on as well like you said. Don't underestimate Amaterasu though, Sasori using another puppet body doesn't mean that he didn't lose his first one.

This may sound like hard work when debating but at least I'm keeping this thread company xD

yah but grama choyo had great kowledge of pupetry althought your right he could dodge fairly easy but for how long. o and i know itachi was holding back but sasuke maneged to dodge amateratsu this is debateble but i dint think itachi can decide how fast amaterasu can move and remember sasori can change to a different puppet in a spit second

itachi not really knowing anything about sasori (only orochimaru and chiyo know) is fatal. it will go like this. susano fist crushes hiruko only for real sasori to pop out and he summons third kazekage. itachi tries genjutsu but sasori laughs, since genjutsu wont work on him. then iron sand world method. itachis scratched a bit but otherwise ok.

implying itachi can punch back huge blocks when sasori can make any shape he wants with the sand anyway
