There's little to suggest that Itachi would win. Madara likely has all the same powers at a higher level. The only thing Itachi might have is Izanami if it were invented after Madara's death and I don't think that would be enough to beat Madara outright.

This guy said it right^ Itachi is extremely powerful and often under rated. If he would have had EMS (which he could have easily gotten if he didn't love his brother so much) he would have been the strongest character in the show from a 1v1 aspect. However madara is extremely powerful in the sense of his multiple susano's/clones..but we must also remember the actual madara doesn't have that power only the edo. but regardless, they are both extremely powerful, but I love itachi and his style/genius because it is very impossible to stop. The strongest characters in the show have all bowed before him basically in fights haha.

Not being a fanboy but Itachi will win 100%... Madara even said so himself the only way you can defeat him is by sealing him.

Itachi has the sword of totsuka and it's used for sealing.. one stab and hes dead. The reason why they don't show Itachi using the sword right cause the fight will be very very short and boring. As of right now, the yata mirror and sword of totsuka have nothing to counter it thus making Itachi invincible.

the only chance itachi would have is use the legendary genjutsu sword he has.

Due to kishi not mentioning what the limits are of these legendary weapons he has one can say if itachi gets a chance to hit him with the sword then he can potenially beat anyone.


But Logically speaking the legendary weapons must have limits that we dont know other wise what would be the point in trying to get haxxed genjutsu,ninjutsu and taijutsu.

Madara would win ofc, but due to the lack of knowledge of the legendary one could say itachi has a chance. Simular case to itachi,naruto,bee vs nagato.

Nagato owned them all untill itachi used the legendary weapon he has. althoug in that case nagato being paaralysed made him a sitting duck. he canr move.
