A Time of Peace

After the war ends, if everything goes smoothly the five great nations (and all the others) will know a time of peace and prosperity. If that occurs, what will become of the Shinobi? Those ninja whose skill sets are mainly limited to combat are essentially out of a job.

Of all the shinobi we know, who do you think will be the most successful in a peaceful, post-war Naruto universe? My vote is for the entire Akimichi clan. Their human expansion jutsu would be great for transportation of large objects, construction, agriculture, etc.

Hate to disagree but I do. If you think about it, all the Kages are appointed leaders of their respective villages: they are politicians. Consider all the political intrigue behind Root, choosing Kages (particularly Danzo), the complications of the Kage summit meeting. Kishi never expressly describes it as such, but it is political.

the ninja world will be at peace for awhile give it 100 years at most and war will start up again. give it another hundred years and strange friuts called devil fruits will apear 10 years after that a man named gold d roger will be executed for a crime he did not commit. and another 20 or so years and you can hire his son and a rubber guy named luffy to take out your enemies. rogers son of course will be a milliannaire play flalantropist that travels around the world stopping crime with his friend luffy in a team they like to call the a team and if none else can help, and if you can find them maybe you can hire the a team

Sorry, I didn't know you wanted a more in depth response. Yes, Sakura is a very good answer. I was trying to prompt people into examining some of the noncombat applications of shinobi and you hit the nail on the head.
