Reading over sasuke vs itachi and him learning the truth and everything I don't think itachi gave him MS. What I think Itachi did was just implanted Amaterasu

Maybe itachi made it that if sasuke was to eye contact his sharingan Amaterasu would activate.

Now what I believe allowed sasuke to activate MS was learning the truth about itachi and after learning this he realised that itachi was the person closet to him (besides naruto, who because of itachi wasn't not even the closest person to him anymore)

Chapter 402 was a whole chapter of sasuke realising how close itachi was to him, which ending with him standing on the cliff crying

Death of someone closest to you = Unlocking MS

So my main point is itachi did not give sasuke MS, sasuke realising the truth about itachi is what enabled him to unlock MS.

There's been a lot of naruto and sasuke threads lately and people keep on saying itachi gave sasuke MS, but I think he unlocked it after learing the truth.

Yh but realising the truth about itachi made him realise how close itachi was to him, this is true but if tobi didn't reveal the truth sasuke wouldn't of known the truth about how close itachi was to him.

No offense but Itachi did infact give Sasuke the MS.

By fighting sasuke and letting sasuke kill him,(Itachi was already gunna doe due to sickness) he performed two very important tasks.

1. Sealing orochimaru from sasuke
2.Giving sasuke the MS aswell as EMS(He knew he would transplant it because he left the crow with shisui's eye to activate with itachis MS).

But itachi didn;t give him all his powers as Tobi states by doing the "tap on the forhead" or else sasuke would have yata and totsuka.

But yes, Itachi only implanted his own amaterasu technique to kill tobi.

True, but was shisui's eye set to activate with sasuke sharingan MS, or his EMS?I am not sure :shrug:

Anyway I still believe it was him learning how close itachi was to him that gave him MS. And that the ONLY thing itachi did was implant amaterasu in sasuke because when amaterasu activated in sasuke it was itachi's MS that was shown. Then after realising the truth it was sasuke's MS that was shown.

Who,and how would anybody mistakenly think that Itachi gave Sasuke the Mangekyo. It is evident that he unlocked, whilst learning the truth about Itachi from Tobi. But I suppose it is better to clear up a misconception, than to let it develop into a believed fact.
