Atop underrating jiraiya please. U shud respect him base jiraiya ahud get respect cuz he only neede sage mode when he was fighting a rannengan user and dont ever take ranningan easy. Base jiraiya even fought hanzo and hanzo admired his abilities in base. I admit he is under oro but wayyy above tsunade . There is a reason why 3rd wanted him to b hokage instead of tsunade. By his words after he got caught you can tell something like that never happened to him before..

Orochimaru is the strongest sannin, thats an indisputable fact.

All 5 Kage stood their ground against 5 EMS users. All 5 Kage are above Sannin tier. She is the best support ninja in the manga, that's for sure but she is also the strongest ninja. One hit and your dead. Both Orochimaru and Tsunade can use their strongest jutsu right off the bat but Jiraiya requires prep. Without SM, J-man is not on Sannin level. It's extremely difficult to fight and prep at the same time, against Tsunade and Orochimaru, J-man is not going to have time to prep.

Jiraiya cannot do better than Tsunade against 5 Madara. He won't get the time to prep for SM.

Tsunade has bijuu level chakra, she is the most durable character in the manga and she can heal her injuries instantly. Jiraiya has nothing in his arsenal to defeat Tsunade.



I'm not to sure about anyone else but I think based on recent showing she is on Jiraiya level or above but lower than Orochimaru.

Is Jiraiya the weakest sanin??? Hell no.

some people seem to think just because Itachi said that he and kisame could only home to draw against J-man it doesnot mean that itachi actually meant it. He is loyal to Konoha and also know about the feats of jiraiya so he might have said this as a sign of respect and also to avoid unnecessary fighting with such a legendary character.

Jiraiya's nature types are Earth release and Fire release.
For Fire release, his attacks include-
Fire Release: Big Flame Bullet
Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique
Fire Release: Flame Bullet
Fire Release: Toad Oil Flame Bullet( with gamabunta)

We can also include the Fire sealing jutsu( i guess)

For Earth Release, his attacks include
Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld
Unfortunately this is the only Earth attack shown, but if he can use such a high class technique then we can safely assume that he had others but didn't use them.

Also as it was said by Fukasama, taijutsu wont inflict much damage( in general) and also frog kumite(spelling??) is useful. also his strength increases by alot.

Summonings include Gamabunta, Gamahiro, Gamaken, also many other medium to large toads. Also that other tech where the enemy gets summoned inside a toad's belly( sry frgt da name ). Pls keep in mind that these summonings alone are very strong.

I assume u all know that Jiraiya has a huge level of chakra so thats also one of his plus points.

The fight against Pain was in some ways unfair for jiraiya. He had no idea what the "special" abilities of pain were. When he fought the first three, his attacks were either being absorbed or dodged simply because the rinnegan were linked. Also i think that just because ninjutsu was being absorbed, he decided to stop with ninjutsu attacks, or else we could have seen numerous powerful ninjutsu. He was quick to realize that he was at a disadvantage coz these variety of jutsu were still new to him. He was quick to thing of a plan and eventually kill the three. I would also like to add here that he didnot know there were other three.
When Asura path blew off his arm, he lost a lot of blood and that was the biggest reason why jiraiya lost. Not only that this time he faced six of them. Still he was able to kill one of them in such a half dead state. The only reason he died was because he decided to take a look at the faces of the six paths and completely let his guard down. I would also like to add that when 5 of the pains' decided to jump at jiraiya, he was quick to notice them but got attacked by another from below. With six poles protruding from his body, he had the GUTS to stand up by sheer will power that alone shows how strong he was.
Do i believe he could beat the six of them if he knew their secrets? Hmm... i dont like to think so but Pain himself did say that one of the reason's why he won was because Jiraiya didnot know their secret. Then again Deva Path virtually didnot fight at all so who knows. Here is my opinion- it they fought 100 battles, Jiraiya would win 45 and Pain would win 55 of the times.

Considering what we have seen from Orochimaru, i think that most of us can safely say that he is below jiraiya when it comes down to it. Tsunade just punches the shit out of everyone but has an insane amount of chakra and considering what she is accomplishing against Madara i think she is above Oro.

The scenario i posed was J man in sage mode. And oro being immortal underestimates his opponents. His arrogance + quest for new jutsu is the reason he lost to hiruzen, itachi, and another sharingan guy who plans to kill itachi(I mean u studied with sasuke for 3 years, u know he is superior to u especially in gen due to sharingan and u put him in a gen?:sy
If he allows J man time to go SM, which he would because it is a jutsu he wants to learn/know about.
About tsunade, J man just summons his clumsy frog and then hop off. Tell me what tsunade will do about that? J man is fully aware he shdnt get hit, he has barriers to tell him when the slow granny is catching up. Once in sm, GAME OVER
