3rd Raikage more suitable gates user then Gai?

All right so my question to you is , if the 3rd Raikage had the ability to use the gates ( presuming he dosen't ) would he be a more suitable user of the gates than gai ?

The Gates are known by most shinobi but isn't really considered in a battle unless your body is physically trained to cope with the drawbacks.

A suitable person for using the gates would have to be:

• Physicly Conditioned to cope with the muscle strain
• User has to have a decent amount of chakra

IMO the 3rd Raikage would be perfect, in that he has monstorus chakara reserves without the gates boost. So if he activated the gates he could probably rival the speeds of BM. Seeing as the gates grants the user to exhaust more chakara then normal, (so note that he could battle for 3 days and 3 nights) so I imagine if he went all out for 10 min rather then spreading his chakara to last for 3days he could probably only be stopped by someone of madara's calibur. Along with his heightened relflexes which the raiton armour grants + gates increase.

Gai has to keep his body in top condition with his unreal training. But the 3rd has also proved to be one of the most conditioned shinobi that has ever lived. His battle with 10,000 shinobi should be enough to prove that.

He is presumably a great taijutsu user, seeing as he took on the 8 tails with his devastaing ninjutsu/taijutsu. Also if he is similar to A then his fighting style would usually revolve around taijutsu. His speed without the gates is noted to be unreal and could only be rivaled by top toer shinobi who had the reflexes/speed to keep up eg: naruto's SM.

Tsunade would be the best at utilizing the Gates though, because she can use her medical ninjutsu to reverse the effects of it's usage.

The 4th imo is not better than the 3rd yes he may be faster due to his teleportation tech but base speed wise I think they are on par. Also I doubt A has any move which trumps the 3rds Hellbringer or true spear. Also the third's body is more conditioned then his. The proof is when A n Tsunade was about the use that chichks lightning tech to transport them to madara. She said only the 3rd had what it takes to tank it. A still had drawbacks after he used that tech. The 3rd also had black lightning techs.
So imagine true spear and black lighting on steroids

But I love Guy and Lee using it mainly as it's like it's their specialty. =DD (imo) They are very impressive fighters but the Raikage would just be unstoppable if he used the Gates lol. xd Destruction.. everywhere.. :O

I disagree. The 3rd Raikage has a huge amount of chakra but because of his strong defense he isn't used to taking physical damage. That being said I dont think he'll be able to withstand the damage as much as Gai can. Gai's only attribute besides his Taijutsu and his turtle is the gates. So he is much more used to the damage dealt with opening the gates.

Seeing as hes already the fastest I don't think the gates would compensate that much for . But yes he would be pretty bad ass, I think he would probably gain the ability to make spirit bombs rather than rasengan lol

Yes, he's the best for Gate techs. But i believe it's really hard to train. Gai is trained because he needs to catch Kakashi in some way

Yes gai ( manga wise ) is better than the 3rd since he trained his body in that area. But in saying this I meant if he trained to make the gates an important of his arsenal.

You have no proof that the 3rd Raikage's body is more conditioned than 4th Raikage.

4th Raikage survived the teleportation jutsu also, so that point is null.

4th Raikage is faster than the 3rd so his 1 finger Nukite will not connect nor will black lightning. 4th Raikage has the speed to pummel the 3rd Raikage into submission. You can't beat speed with speed if if your speed is not on par with or above your opponents.

iirc neji wasn't able to learn the gates, and kakashi was wondering if lee was a genius for learning to use the 5th one, so i don't think just anyone can go and use them.

but if the 3rd raikage could use them, he would be unstoppable.

Their, the top panel implies that even the 4th doubted his ability to use that tech. Also the 4th didn't have much hype as the 3rd when it came to durability or being conditioned. So that forces me to conclude that durability wise 3rd > 4th

Yes gates are too op. But its backdraws is op too. 3rd Raikage's best attribute is endurance? But if he would use it, he has short time if we'll compare to 3day fight. Even Gai who is expert in this he cant use it too long. Maybe it would be trump card for him.
