I saw a thread on another site recently that brought up the thought that sasuke would get some sort of crow sage mode. I believe this theory as well and decided to put the gist of it on here.

The Humid Bone Forest- The third sacred place to obtain knowledge of the sage mode has been revealed as being the Humid Bone Forest (Shikkotsurin) along with the already known Mount Myoboku and Dragon Cave.

Crows are known for being scavengers who pick dead corpses dry to the bone leaving scattered bones lying around their nesting places. As we know Itachi has a strong affinity with crows and has even formed a summoning contract with them, possibly hinting at how he had heard about the other locations as well as the humid bone forest.

Sasuke's susano'o also resembles a tengu, a half bird, half man demon like creature from japanese mythology. The tengu is strongly related to crows and sasuke even took on some of its appearances while in his previous curse mark state 2.

A lot of people have been saying that sasuke will get snake sage mode while (hopefully jokingly) sakura or tsunade will receive some other sort of sage mode possibly (again, hopefully jokingly) a sort of slug sage mode. Sasuke already has a contract with hawks as we've seen in his fight with danzo, and even tobi did not know that he had made this contract before the fight, hinting that he could possibly change contracts once again as every time sasuke comes into contact with itachi, he leaves taking on some of his characteristics.

This is just a theory i found, not even one i thought of myself, but one that i strongly agree with and would really like to see. I personally would love to see sasuke using more genjutsu and crows in his combat style, like itachi. But that's just me. Thanks for your time.

No. Go back and reread, Kabuto said the 3 places that has Sage mode are snake, Toad and slug which are the 3 sannin's summons.

Nooooooo...? It's mount myoboku, the dragon cave and the unknown humid(wet) bone forest. We don't know what the third place is yet. And the specific animal affinities weren't mentioned as i remember.

Well i think it will be slug because of the slug-snake-frog thing that the sannin represent. But anythings possible, i just dont see crow sage mode popping up out of nowhere.

Well firstly.. Sasuke's summoning affinity is hawks... Itachi's = crows..So already we know Sasuke isn't going to randomly get Itachi's affinity...

As for how Itachi knew about the locations.. You underestimate his intelligence, and you make it seem like Sennin Mode is some secret unknown thing such as ms abilities... There obviously has been past sage mode users... Orochimaru was a failure at it, but it's a known thing.. that any knowledgeable person would know about.

The Susanno tengu I believe in no way foreshadows anything relating to sage mode... and as for his cursed seal wings, In the end it was there to show his change from being a snake to a Hawk.


As for sasuke being able to switch from hawk to crow? Sure, but highly unlikely...Sasuke only had snake because his teacher (orochimaru) had an affinity to snakes.. Because of that he was forced to make a contract with them aswell... But that was never his affinity... As hiruzen explained each person has their own affinity animal, And sasuke's was most likely the hawk

the series coming to an end and it's doubtful that there will be a time skip again, thus sasuke won't be having anytime to go master any sage mode, or gain any new contracts etc...

so that means naruto might be able to summon more than just toads?

You can only have 1 contract at a time, if he chooses to go elsewhere, and they accept him, he can no longer summon gamabunta etc
He'll still have his same mode however

no, im sorry but SLUGS are known for being and eating there food with acid and leaving nothing but bone (tsunade uses tech just like that) and the also reqquire humid place to live or there bodies will dry out

am pretty sure just because someone can use summoning jutsu doesn't mean they can use sage mode

You just said the three places. Dragon cave- Snake sage. MT. Myoboku- Toad sage. Humid bone forest- Slug sage mode.
