for people to admit someone is as good or better than Itachi? I ask this out of pure curiosity. Why? Well because I am at a loss to understand just what character could show to make people believe he/she is as good or superior to Itachi or even what statements could be made.
When Itachi himself said that he'd draw with Jiraiya, I thought that people would see this as good indicator that Jiraiya was at least roughly as good as Itachi, especially when the comment Kisame made supported it as well. But okay Itachi lied & Kisame underestimated him, okay I can dig it; people don't think statements Itachi made to his fellow Akatsuki members can be trusted, due to his nature as a spy, & Kisame can't be trusted since he may not know the extent of Itachi's power.
Next I thought when Nagato & Pain Rikudo showed up as the AL with a Dojutsu two Stages higher than Itachi's, that people would think he was stronger than Itachi, but okay, there is the whole novice with a Kunai losing to a master with a pebble, so having a superior Dojutsu doesn't cut it ether.
Than I thought when Itachi said he needed EMS to surpass Tobi, that people would agree that Tobi is superior to Itachi or at least as good, but okay, perhaps Itachi was referring to the real the Prime EMS Madara that faced Hashirama & not Tobi, so a statement which could possibly refer to someone else doesn't cut it.
Than when Shisui came along with his him being stated to be better than Itachi in Itachi's main area of expertise, people would agree he was at least as good if not better than Itachi, but okay Itachi has other Jutsu besides his specialty, so those would make him better than Shisui, so someone being better at Itachi's speciality doesn't cut it.
I thought when Kabuto came along, that people would agree he is superior to Itachi, because he could summon Edo Itachi + an army of other powerful shinobi. Also he when he cut Itachi in half with EMS Sasuke saving him & showed a Genjutsu Itachi again required EMS Sasuke's help to get out off. But okay, Edo Tensei isn't Kabuto's power, so it doesn't count, & if Itachi went with killer intent he would have defeated Kabuto before he could attempt Tayuya's Genjutsu or cutting him in half [Insert rest of the arguments as to why Itachi solo could take out Kabuto], so someone using summons disqualifies them as being superior to Itachi, since it isn't their power.
Than when EMS Madara showed up I thought people would agree that he was stronger than Itachi, because like they had been saying Itachi was referring to EMS Prime Madara & not Tobi with his statement to Sasuke, but okay, Itachi knew about Rinnegan Madara and was in-fact referring to that Madara.
Finally I thought when Rinnegan Madara showed up that people would agree he is stronger than Itachi, since he could conjure a forest of poisonous trees, drop down 2 meteors, conjure 25 Susano'o, conjure a titanic Susano'o, take on five Kages at once, etc... Also this being the final incarnation of Madara one would have to assume at most Itachi was referring to this Madara, but okay... well honestly throughout this I have tried to present both sides of the argument fairly, but I don't really understand the counter argument here, so to avoid conflict i'm just going to leave this blank. But ether way having Powers as God Like as Rinnegan Madara & Itachi's own words do not cut it ether.
So at this point I am left at a loss to what exactly would cut it and prove someone is stronger or as strong as Itachi, which is why I wish to ask the forum. But let me make some quick notes, just to try and get everyone on the same page:
Please do not answer with just Rikudo Sannin "level" Power or say well someone would have to kill Itachi, or having main character plot power, because these answers are cop outs and I am honestly curious as to what a character can actually do to prove to people he is as strong or stronger than Itachi.
