Why do ppl underestimate jiraiya?

I've seen some people saying things like kakashi or guy would trash J-man and stuff like pre-rinnegan tobi would beat J-man low diff, Are you guys serious!? J-man is a legendary sannin, He beat & killed three of the six paths of pain(They got regenerated) with no preperation or info on his abilities,He fought orochimaru on par with only 30% of his chakra due to shizune's drug. Please stop trolling J-man and give credit where credit is due, J-man could still tie with if not beat itachi...

j-man is awesome theres no doubt about that but tobi would win but high diff IMO and to be fair orochimaru was missing both arms and fighting 2 other sannin so its not like j-man was the only handicapped one

How is saying stuff like Sharingon Tobi would beat him underestimating him? Jiraya cant do anything aganist his intagblity. Orochimaru was also weakened in that fight too his arms were sealed but Jiraya is powerful kage level.

Last time i checked intangibility didn't make you prone to genjutsu, also tobi doesn't know about sage mode or any of j-man's abilities. He would prob get owned by frog kata because he usually goes ghost mode right before his opponent makes contact...

He needs to summon ma and pa it also takes them a while to get him into sage mode Tobi could easily use s/t jutsu to kill him before he summons them.

You guys speak as if everytime tobi fights he instantly warps people without thinking(Reckless engagement),If that was the case every opponent tobi had and every fight would've lasted about 5 secs, I can assure you j-man wouldn't simply stand idol while someone was warping him...

Honestly, I'm not ashamed to be a Jiraiya fan boy. Albeit, he's not the most important or powerful shinobi, you've got to love the pervy sage.

Jiraiya doesn't have the frog katas as far as manga facts go. If you reread the fight between Pain and Jiraiya he didn't get any of those distance shots like Naruto does. In fact he kept getting screwed over because he would miss them due to the paths shared vision.

Also I would like to point out that if you honestly believe Jiraiya can tie or defeat Itachi then you are in fact a fanboy. I like Jiraiya as much as the next guy, but I'm also reasonable. Jiraiya's worst trait is his genjutsu, and Itachi has already trolled Orochimaru, Deidara, Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi, etc. with just genjutsu.

Please ask me how is he going to see Tobi let alone fight him if he disappers? All he needs to do is warp behind Jiraya, become solid and kill him. It took Konan had years years and years of intel on him and still couldn't beat him.
