Obito's Potential

Before people say Itachi would have killed him, this is assuming he either helped Itachi secretly, or just stepped back and let it happen because he didn't agree with what the clan was trying to do.

First off, I know Itachi at age 13 was far beyond Obito, but it is still impressive that Obito was able to become a Chunin without awakening his sharingan. That with the fact that he awakened 2 tomo from nothing gives him a high standard of potential. I have no doubt by the time the Uchiha massacre went down that he would have atleast 3 tomo (maybe MS) and be at the rank of jonin. Also, I'm sure if Obito were to secretly help Itachi, he would find a way to get MS before that showdown in order to improve his chances. We already know he would have Kamui, but as to his other ability there is only speculation. Since Madara has not shown Tsukutomi+Amaterasu=Susano, it is also possible he could obtain that as well.

There isn't a point to this thread other than discussion, I just find it interesting to imagine an adult Obito spamming Kamui from within a Susano and how much help he could possibly be in the current war. What do you guys think, do you think he would be strong?

him being a chunin before he got sharingan shows that he was above average already.. if he got his sharingan and didnt die i think he would at least be a jounin lvl easy.. on the level of guy and kakashi is now.

He seemed to me to be like Naruto with natural power ups. Kishi Loves Uchiha Kage level easily. He would have opened up eye techs caused by love and pain instead of hate and power.

Actually I'm kind of curious... I doubt his fighting style would be the same as Sasuke's or Itachi's. He's not part of the skilled stereotype; he has the whole clumsy but willful act going on. He seems like the type that gets a boost of energy if his comrades are in danger (kind of like when he was a kid). He'll need a signature technique though.

Well since Obito is the original owner of the sharingan he mastered it to a further extent than Kakashi, hence why he's mastered S/T jutsu and why he told Kakashi it's pointless to try to use Kamui on him. Also why he got Deidara's arm back and all that jazz, he just warped to his dimension(where all the stuff Kakashi kamuis goes) and got it back. Duh.

hmm i think tbh he could have reached MS look at kakashi for instance. he has 1 eye and practicly no controll over it and he managed it. and touching on the fact that he did tier 2 tomo on first activation show very high possibility of MS. kage level of power is a little over expectations but then again a kage isnt judged on his power but his ability in the situation. elite jonin definetly or my personal idea is that he may have gone on to be danzo's right hand man in root or he could of taken over the Anbu. he definetl would of played a very good role in the ninja war if not making a difference to stop it. but u also have to take into account that if obito would have survived kakaski might not have survived all the encounters thus far. or on the other hand obito and kakashi's rivalry could have lead to the eventuall "sasuke" style attitude. then we would be looking at obito on the oposit side of the war. very good discussion

Most people are talking about how he would not be up to kakashi's lv if he were still alive but i think that the only reason kakashis is so famous is for being the copy cat ninja and with out Obito's eyes what would he have to make him famous beside being the son of his father.
