So after this weeks chapter is pretty obvious what Kishi is attempting to achieve.
By constantly swapping between the Kage' fight scene, and then itachi and Sasuke in front of Kabuto (which it think happens 3-4 times in the 15 pages of the chapter) Kishi is attempting to portray the 'race against time' that the Kage's face.
There is no chance for the Kage's to defeat Madara atm, they are relying on Itachi/Naruto/Whoever (As they dont know who is fighting Kabuto) to stop the edo. Whether they know it or not, the Kage's fight is totally dependant on Itachi ending the Edo.
The question then is...will madara be stopped if edo is released - maybe not because of his sheer awesomeness
And if he is released - will he resummoned by Tobi ?
